Gavin Rossdale Is Planning An All Black Nursery

Doesn't matter what the sex of the child is for Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani, because this kid is getting an all black nursery. They're planning on having a goth baby.

"We don't know if it's a boy or a girl. Plus, we are going to put him
in a black room. It'll be a goth baby so it doesn't matter if it is a
boy or a girl."

Whether he's kidding or not, that would certainly be a change from the typical pale blue or light pink nursery room. :)

These people make me sick. They dress up and teach their kids how to be a certain way from birth. They never get the chance to figure out their own style/way of life and than turn out like Britney Spears. Sad.

I disagree- as a child of the 80s I grew up wearing neon green cords, those black spandex shorts with neon pink stripes down the side, and weird stuff like that. But I still grew up to find my own style- I think whether you dress your kid up punky or not he/she will eventually find their own style, just like we all did.
Since I ended up a punk I'd probably dress my kid a bit edgy, with army pants & stuff like that, but I don't doubt that he or she would grow up to have a totally different style then me... who wants to look like their parents?! Even if your parents dress totally cool, like I do ;D

Agreed!!! (kid of the 80's too, here). Plus, in the 90's my mother always dressed me in black and/or purple, which got me into "gothic/punk" too. But this means nothing - despite my clothing (which remains on the same wave) i dress my daughter mostly kind of ladylike.

beleive me gwens nothing like that shes a great mom and a great person and so is gavin the dont teach how to be anyway they teach them right from wrong and the way the kids personality comes out is the way it is so dont go blaming gwen and i bet my last dollar kigston or the second baby wont be anything like britney or anything like their family gwen and gavin arent anything like that AT ALL

I love Gwen and Gavin! :) Gavin has that dry, British sense of humor. There's no way he's serious, why would he be?

I wonder what the psycho-therapy bill will be for that kid when it grows up?!?!

Depending on the way they decorate the nursery, it could turn out kinda nice!

Black paint with light-colored furniture can look classy. Casasugar had a room like that.

If he is serious, I hope he has some other prominent colors to catch his baby's eye. Newborns need stimulation from color - it's one of the first things they become interested in...

It's pretty sad if just to be unique and different, they throw their child in a goth room. I mean, c'mon - it's a baby! How depressing. (but, God forbid they were mainstream and put their baby in a pastel, girly or boyish room...how conformist) *

I have 2 girls, and I hope I'm not messing them up for putting them in a pink and purple room. Oh, the horror! (*rolling eyes*)

Passerby Passerby said:

Why would anyone think he was being serious? Neither of them are goth.

They are the opposite of goth! No way he's serious!

There is nothing wrong with a black and white nursery and I'm sure the baby will have lots of colorful toys to play with. I think that a black nursery could look very elegant and tasteful if done correctly. You don't need to slap neon paint on the walls to stimulate your baby's brain- that's your job as the parent!!

a baby cannot distinguish colors.. it actually represses brain development.. a baby is better able to see black and white and it will actually help brain development..

that really only counts for a small amount time in its life tho.. after a certain age measured in weeks this advantage is lost :/

Did anyone catch the fact that he said they didn't know the sex yet said they would put "him" in a black room.?

Actually you guys might be surprise. My sister painted her living room wall black and at first I thought she was crazy, but when I finally saw it, it was quite beautiful. If it's done right, it will turn out just great. I personally hate baby pink and powder blue!

Lulu Lulu said:

That would be so depressing! But I think he's kidding. Gwen wouldn't go for that.
