I Dream Of Jeannie Coming To The Big Screen

How VERY exciting!! I used to LOVE I Dream of Jeannie growing up! The script is currently getting fine tuned and casting is in beginning stages. Guess who is rumored to play Jeannie? Jessica Alba! Does that make sense? Call me batty... but I think Jessica Simp... oh I can't bring myself to say it. Who would you want to play the lead role in this upcoming movie?
Update: OOOH! I change my mind! After reading Kat P's comment below, I would love to see Amy Adams take on this role!! Good call. :)

people are turned off by simpson & the movie would be the butt of jokes, (doomed) before its release, imo.
I don't think anyone can be Jeannie to me other than Barbara Eden.
Actually Amy Adams would be my pick - I think she could pull it off...just saw her in Enchanted and she was cute.

well as u can see my screen name speak for it self.I am a very out going person love having a good time i spend most of my time at home taking care of the household chores,and making sure that my 10 year old daughter is taken care of she is such a sweet kid ,kindd ,loving smart very strong willed.me on the other hand i have a tendecy for picking the wrong kind of guys to be in relationship with.I am aloving ,sweet kind understanding true to self kind of person.The world is so fucking fake i don't like hollywood as much as my dauhgter does but that is because she is young with no experince of the world.Any way i have to go see u guys later bye

I like Drew and Kate but the don't have the right kind of innocence but I do agree with the "ugh another alba movie" haha!

i hate to even say it, but someone who would nicely fill that outfit would be Scarlette Johanssen. Kate Bosworth (doesn't have the chest) but she's a cutie. i agree with the Kate Hudson too. I would NOT go see it if it were Alba. Her real personality i don't think could be shadowed by the sweetness of Jeannie. Who would play Master Tony???? That is the REAL question here LOL
Actually, Amy Adams should be the pick...She was awfully good in Walt Disney's "Enchanted", also a very similiar film to what Jeannie could be like. I thought she did very well on "Enchanted" and so did Patrick Dempsey who would be good as Anthony Nelson....Lots of actors have been paired again and again due to good chemistry such as Doris Day and Rock Hudson...
I really think she would be a delightful Jeannie. and not to mention that Kate Hudson turned down the role

I vote for Kristin Chenoweth, she would be great. I doubt however the big studios would cast her, so my second choices would be either Amy Adams or Jessica Simpson.

This movie has been in casting stages for ages, I can't believe they haven't made it yet... and from what I remember, Kate Hudson WAS the choice to play Jeannie. Don't know what happened to that...

I think maybe the Writers in Hollywood need to step away from their bongs for a week or two and shake their heads, cause I am getting sick of half baked ideas about turning old tv shows into big screen movies. This needs to stop now! No More! And they wonder why box office returns are down.
Gee it can't possibly be due to bad movie release after bad movie release.

NO NO NO on Alba! She'd RUIN the whole thing! I'm agreeing with either Amy Adams or Scarlette Johanssen! But I do think they need to come up with new concepts for new movies. Stop ruining the classics!

Yeah~ I don't see Jessica Alba doing the role justice. The last two movies I saw of her should have gone straight to DVD! (Awake and The Eye.)
Anyway I wish they'd go for a perky beautiful blonde. Maybe someone who resembles Jeannie. One of my favorite shows growing up too.

What about Liv Tyler? I know it seems like a bit of a stretch, but I think Liv would really be a great choice for the Jeannie role. She has that natural sweetness, and innocence that Jeanie seemed to have in the TV show. And I think she'd be able to pull of that kind of "ditzy" personality that Jeannie had in a fun way. But that's probably just me. haha
