Mary J Blige Comes To The Rescue For Unhappy Shopper

For me, it isn't about the few hundred dollars Mary J. Blige gave to a shopper. It is more about the wonderful gesture and the lasting memory she provided to a woman who couldn't afford a dress that she fell in love with while shopping at Diane Von Furstenberg.
Someone was complaining about high prices and Mary overheard. A woman couldn't afford a dress she was trying to save up for and Mary stepped in and covered it.
According to MTV News, Miss Mary said,
"I know what it’s like to want something and not be able to have it."
The happy shopper bagged her dress and then asked for Blige’s details so she could repay her. But the generous singer said,
"Just enjoy it. I’m blessed, so let me do this."
So very nice of her!!

what a wonderful thing to do for someone.
That was so nice of her. Mary J is using her celebrity for good, not evil. :)
Mary J is wonderful, ALWAYS liked her.
This makes me LOVE Mary J. Blige even MORE :)
Awww, and she was so humble about it, such a beautiful person :)
thats very sweet:)
I love hearing things like this! Mary is humble enough to know she has been blessed, and she is a blessing to others! I think this would be the best thing about being rich and famous...being able to do something for others..simply because you want to and because you remember how you felt in the same situation. Go, Mary! You deserve all the good things that have come your way!!
thats a nice gesture
I have loved her since I was 13! Whatsthe 411? was my second CD I ever bought! Love her more now!!!
WOW, that is so amazing of her to do.
that is a very generous thing to do for someone. but i never get why people are always surprised when a celebrity donates or gives someone money, i think it's the right thing to do when you have a lot of money and someone doesn't, without question.
Sure it was nice of Mary to do but why is someone shopping in a high end store if they couldnt afford it? This would impress me a helluva lot more if was for something more substantial then a silly designer dress.
