Stain Your Lips Beautiful

So according to Allure Magazine, lip stain is in. Whenever I’ve tried using it, though, it just looks like I applied lipstick hours beforehand, and it’s just wearing off!So here are some tips forgetting the most out of the new trend:

  • Since stains can be drying (hence, the "half-worn-off lipstick" look), "smooth on a lip balm underneath," says Jessica Simpson’s make-up pro Mary Phillips.
  • Prep your pout with a primer or lightly fill in witha lip pencil before applying lipstick."It creates a base so color stays on longer."

I love Sonia Kashuk’s Lip and Cheek Tint ($8 at Target) above. The color glides on smoothly, without giving you that "blood-red" look, and it lasts you a while without having to re-apply!Clear lip liner isa great choice because it holds everything to the contour of your lips–read about some great choices here!

i love stains but i disagree with the application they mentioned above. whenever ive put balm on first then color it just slides off after 10 minutes. instead of balm then stain, do the stain first then a balm like burts bee’s …. since its clear it doesnt change the color and it lasts longer. also, burts bee’s naturally plumps ur lips up too … nature’s juvaderm! gotta love it !
