The list is out for 2008. Here are the newest celebrities to get stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Is everyone on the list deserving?
- Cameron Diaz
- Robert Downey Jr.
- Hugh Jackman
- Shakira
- Sir Ben Kingsley
- William H Macy
- Felicity Huffman
- Kyra Sedgwick
- Kenny ‘Baby Face’ Edmonds
- Tim Burton
- Ralph Fiennes
- The Village People
- John Stamos
- bands Rush and The Miracles
- Tinkerbell
Twenty-five celebrities have been approved by a committee and will be presented with their stars provided they agree to attend a presentation ceremony within five years and hand over $25,000 (£12,500) to cover the cost of protecting the star.

Interesting.... I never knew they had to pay for it! Pretty cool though that Felicity Huffman & William H. Macy are both getting ones at the same time!

i think Cameron Diaz, Tim Burton, Shakira were all very deserving. John Stamos, Robert Downey Jr., Felicity Huffman are pretty secondary for me. I think I could have easily found better candidates. and the Village People?? didn't they only have one good song?? ... and Tinkerbell? I'm so disappointed they chose her over the Chimpanzee from Tarzan. i also think its pretty coincidental that there's a Disney store on the Walk of Fame and a Tinkerbell movie coming out in the near future.
those stars don't mean anything anymore.
The only ones on the list that I see as deserving are Tim Burton and Sir Ben Kingsley.
Most of the others are iffy at best.
And John Stamos...really??

Tim Burton - yeah Ralph Fienes - yeah Ben Kingsley - yeah. But are the rest really legends yet? I don't think so.

I don't understand the process. Some people have been around forever and are just now getting stars and others are relatively new and they are getting their's all ready. I don't think anyone one the list is a legend. Not that I don't like any of them, but none are iconic to me.

The only people who deserve it at this point are Sir Ben Kingsley, Kenny ‘Baby Face’ Edmonds, Tim Burton, and maybe The Village People. The others still have more work to do IMO.

I agree that Tim Burton and Ben Kingsley deserve a star. I can't believe they are giving one to Uncle Jessie.
