Love It Or Hate It: Lucy Liu

Lucy Liu arrived to the UK premiere of, Kung Fu Panda wearing a red bell shaped dress and even though I adore Lucy I'm not sure how I feel about her dress. I like the vintage-y feel, but the severe bell leaves me cold. What do you guys think of it?

In the main picture of her I kept staring then I realized she is not wide - its the dress then the red carpet behind the dress makes her look very thick waisted - which she's not. I don't love it.
I was thinking the same thing until I read this- the red carpet had me fooled!! Still, the bottom of the dress is not flattering.

I love the top of the dress, but not the bottom (I think the poster above me was seeing the red carpet, too, because the dress looks quite fitted in the waist). She's been taking more and more fashion risks lately, and I don't love most of them. However, she could wear a paper bag and be stunning, so I guess she gets a pass!

I was surprised to read her blog on "Casualseek .C om." I don’t understand why she write blog on a dating site for casual encounter. Does she feel lonely and want to date with someone?

Omg, HATE! Up close, the cut is SO unflattering on her. This dress might be okay on someone much taller, but it makes Lucy look like she's got some junk in the trunk.
I agree! That's the first thing I thought when I saw the dress. Someone tall could easily pull that off much better than Lucy.
it's hard for me to tell with the red carpet right behind her. it all blends in and it is hard to tell where the carpet ends and the dress begins. i definitely like the bodice, but i can't decide on the bell part.
I too was thrown off by the red carpet. Initially I thought it was loose from under her arms all the way down. Now THAT would have been hideous. I actually kind of like it now that I see it's cinched at the waste, and then bells. It's a bit severe, but in a fashion world where I'm either constantly bored by what I see, or shocked at the "weirdness", this seems to be a good compromise.
Love her, hate the dress.

She's very pretty in these pictures, and I love her shoes, but the dress makes her look like a Teletubby. Not a look anyone should strive for, IMO.

she most likely looks better in this dress that 99.9% of people in this country but it a terrible dress nonetheless. Horrid. Looks like an ottoman. Charlize had much better execution of this puffy style in a white dress, that I think was gorgeous.

it just looks bad because the colour and texture of the dress are the exact same as that of the carpet she's on... otherwise, i am sure the dress, and she in it, would be beautiful
