Victoria Beckham Is Messy

Victoria Beckham doesn't play along with David's house rules. You must vacuum in straight lines and then avoid walking on the carpet at all costs. Do you think it has something to do with him living on a soccer field? The grass is always cut at the perfect angle.

He's too hot to have this be a real issue. In fact, David says HE'S the one that picks up after the children. It just gets better and better doesn't it.

And the funniest part of the whole story for me is the fact that Victoria leaves kitchen cabinet doors open. That is one thing my husband wants to KILL me over. I always seem to forget to close them once I've gotten what I need.

My father used to always vacuum in straight lines and we weren't allowed to walk on them either. Total nutcase! LMAO!

My dad is also an obsessive vacuumer. He would vacuum the main floor before work everyday and if we missed the bus he would make us do it as a lesson so we wouldn't miss the bus. He would always end up taking the vacuum away from us half way through though because we weren't using his technique. hahaha love it.

Every housecleaner I have ever had vacuumed in straight lines. They vacuumed their way out of the room. I liked watching them do it because, it made total sense to me, I just don't have the patience myself. As for the cabinet doors. I tend to have OCD and my family will leave the doors open and it drives me INSANE. As soon as I walk in the house, if I see a cabinet door open or if something else is out of order then I will fix it before I do anything else. I can spot it as soon I walk in. But then I also count my silverware before I go to bed to make sure it is all accounted for. If something is missing I have to go look for it, it can't wait till morning.

OMG AMY! I thought I was the only one out there! I am the exact same as you! I thought my hubby and brother-in-law were the only people in the world who left the cabinet doors open but I guess that they are not alone! It drives me crazy! I just don't understand why they do that!

What's the point in having carpet if you don't want to walk on it?

Our housekeeper used to SWEEP out the vacuum marks with a special broom (as she backed out of the room), so that the carpet looked completely *pristine*! And we had a special brush used for brushing the fringe on our Oriental rugs. NUTS!

He has told reporters that he really does have OCD.

David has OCD which probably explains his anally retentive behaviour.

I have OCD and I can completely understand him vacuuming in straight lines, thankfully there is no carpet in my home so that's one less thing I have to stress over!

I didn't know you're suppose to vacuum in straight line. LOL. I also hate when cupboards and drawers are left open, even if it's a little bit. It's drives me nuts.

Ellie: if you don't find it interesting, why do you read this blog? Why do you post? Because, let's face it, we all find it just a little bit interesting. We all wonder what OUR lives would be like if we were rich and famous and how "normal" would we be. It's natural. I don't like reading about nasty stuff (drug users, ugly affairs, the Hogans, etc.), but blogs like this are sort of like "people watching" from the comfort of your home!
The Beckhams are a funny blend of celebrity (mansions, designer clothes, expensive cars, etc.) and basically normal (taking the kids to Disneyland and Alcatraz, bickering over leaving cupboard doors open.)
I like them.

When I'm really mad at my hubby, I'll walk in to the kitchen and open every single cabinet door! He hates it when I do that anyways, so it's my little way of getting back. :)

I understand about the cabinet doors. I have OCD when it comes to drawers, cabinet doors, house doors only being opened half way, etc. It goes back to having the crap scared out of me while watching that scene in Poltergeist when all the kitchen doors are open and the chairs are all stacked up! That traumatized me for life; now I go around and close open cabinets in anyones house i am in!
