Friends of Anne Hathaway’s ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri are reportedly accusing the actress of turning him in to the authorities over his allegedly fraudulent business dealings. The Daily News has a source that feels Anne specifically had something to do with the arrest because the break up was too close to the FBI encounter.

"It makes sense. She’s referred to as his former girlfriend in the indictment even though her spokesman never confirmed they broke up. I think that in return for her cooperation, the feds held off on arresting Follieri until she was out of the country."

A spokesperson for Hathaway has declined to comment on Follieri’s legal troubles. The 29-year-old remains behind bars until he can post $21 million bail.

What Callie said – if she knew or found out he was breaking the law, she had to report it. Even if she didn’t turn him in, she’d be questioned about it.

um…wow she looks a bit funny in that pic. xD

To bad for her. She must be devestated he’s such a jerk. After all those yrs. together. She seems so sweet.

  4. Passerby says:

she had to speak with the FBI, its normal in this cases. It’s he’s fault because he did what he did, not her that she ratted him. I would have done the same thing. Knowing what illegal things your boyfriend does and hiding it, it gets you in jail. So, i’m with her

She may or may not have turned him herself, but I’m sure she spoke with the FBI. Just because her publicist hadn’t confirmed it yet, she probably confirmed it to the FBI when it was becoming clear what a scoundrel he really was. Even if she did turn him, his crimes are pretty serious to just turn the other cheek.

  6. Passerby says:

maybe she was at risk to go down with him as well for knowing about his “business.” I think if any of us were in the same situation and not having participated in the “business,”we’d be quick to turn him in. I won’t go to jail for someone else.

good for her! why shouldn’t she protect herself? the guy’s a thief and a liar.

    Good for her.

  9. Callie says:

Since they aren’t married, she’d be legally required to report him if she knew he was doing something illegal. Otherwise she could face charges of conspiracy and being an accomplice. I dont blame her. As hard as it may have been for her, she did the right thing and I really respect her for it.

Pretty shady that his “friends” are trying to smear her though. First the dog issue and now this? Sounds like his friends are of the same make and model as him! Jerks!

  10. Miss_M says:

She’s better off without him. And his friends.

  11. Passerby says:

who cares? that would’ve been better for him..she gave him a few more days of freedom..his friends should shut their faces..

    ….and what is their point??????

  13. just_jealous says:

Good for her. If he broke the law, screw him.
