Christian Bale: Leave Heath's Performance As Is In Batman

Some are calling for Heath Ledger's performance in Batman to get altered. It's too bloody, violent, dark... but that's exactly how Heath wanted it says co-star Christian Bale. And to alter it in any way would be a disservice to Heath, his work and everything he stood for.Â
"I know there are a lot of people out there who don’t think this movie should be shown. But, if you’re asking my opinion, I think that’s bloody insane. I also think it’s an insult to Heath and everything he stood for.
"I don’t think anything should be cut - I think it’s the movie he wanted to make. The guy was brilliant. He was a fantastic actor and he put everything into this part. I absolutely know without question that he would have wanted everyone to see it.
"For me, this is a celebration of what he did best - entertain people… Respect the man. This is what he did. This is what he wanted to do."
What do you think? Leave it as is? Or tame it down?

They should leave it alone. To alter is would be a disgrace. They people who have been complaining should feel ashamed of themselves.
It's his legacy, he made it the way that he wanted, leave it be and include a bunch of extras with Heath in them on the DVD.
If he were still alive, it would be released as is... why on earth would they change it? Makes no sense whatsoever. It was his final piece of work, let him be!!!

definitely leave it as is! he put so much into that part, and it's actually the way the joker is meant to be - a bloody, merciless character, who deteriorates throughout the storyline. this was one of the best roles he was offered, and he gave everything to making it his own. it would be doing such a disservice to alter it in any way!!
i realize you folks need something to yak about, but this is all hype put out by the hollwood machine to generate interest & (stay with me folks), sell tickets...horrors! they are taking advantage of dead guys appeal for marketing purposes. don't be such blind sheep. also look for the academy to generate greater interest in their boringass awards shows next year by awarding dead guy with a bunch of tearjerking awards, you don't have to be an einstein to see that crap coming.

I agree... but he should be awarded. He was awesome in all his movies (that I've seen). And I can just imagine how much work he put into getting into this creepy character.

Leave it alone! This actor must have worked extremely hard to produce this work. I think it is a great tribute to show his final piece as is.
They should leave it as is, it's disrespectful to change it. Saying that I'm not looking forward to watching it, I'm sure all I'll be able to think of is that he's dead and how sad that is.

If Heath Ledger were alive, they wouldn't have an issue - and also, he would be **** if what he worked so hard for ended up on the cutting room floor. It's supposed to be a dark role.
