Love It Or Hate It: Kylie Minogue

Love It Or Hate It: Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue was at the Buckingham Palace today where she received an OBE Award from the British government for her services to music. Even though she's from Oz, she's eligible because Australia is a member of the British Commonwealth.

Anyways, on to more important things...let's talk about her dress. :) I feel like on anybody else those big, multi-colored sequined stars might be tacky...

What do you think, love it or hate it?

Hate it! I really don't like the shape. The upper part is too heavy for her petite frame, and it's tacky.

Terrible terrible dress- very unflattering. I didn't even notice the tacky stars at first, just the weird billowy top part...

She wears the ugliest clothes and always has. Who dresses her, some unknown friend trying to make a name for themselves?.

For years now it's the same old-woman clothes. I mean giant sequinned stars; get with it Kylie and hire a stylist. She doesn't have to dress like a twenty year old but damnn.

Congratulations Kylie. I have been a huge fan of Kylie since the late 80s. She looks stunning, very happy and healthy which is the most important thing. Love the dress also.

Wrong Vera. Australians are not eligible for an OBE by virtue of Australia being a member of the British Commonwealth. That used to be the case, but we have our own awards system now, and have done for some years. Ms Minogue would have dual citizenship by virtue of her mother being Welsh, hence British, and that is what makes her eligible. She is in fact a British citizen as well. As for the dress, what was she thinking? These days she seems to get it very, very right, or as is the case with this dress, very, very, very wrong. The stars, the huge billowing bodice...

What was she thinking when she chose that dress to wear to Buckingham Palace? She looks like she's part of a clown troop in the circus! Don't get me wrong, she's a lovely woman and I think it's great that she got an OBE but her dress sense is completely off lately. She's still wearing clothes she could wear when she was petite and svelte but her body has changed in the last year and she should dress to her new body form and not how she's used to.

I cannot stop laughing!!!! Is she serious?

Worst getup ever!

What message is she trying to convey by wearing a dress covered in sequined stars to Buckingham Palace? There would be people receiving awards for their endeavours in a whole range of fields, many of whom have devoted their lives to improving the human condition in some way without receiving the monetary rewards Ms Minogue has. Maybe a little bit of modesty wouldn't have gone astray this time?
