Madonna Releases Official Statement About Divorce Rumors
People Magazine just posted excerpts of a statement Madonna gave them regarding the divorce rumors. The singer insists that she has no intentions of splitting from Guy Ritchie. I suppose since some of her children are at the age where they understand the media, she had to say something.
“I have learned over the years not to take accusations and the many
false reports about me very seriously. I also appreciate how fiction
and fact seem to be perceived as one and the same by people who read
both newspapers and the Internet.""My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study.”

Ugh. I adore Madonna, and I admit she has her flaws/faults, but I REALLY HOPE she's not sexually involved with a philanderer who happens to have an infant at home. I really, really hope this is true. I have a feeling that if it weren't, she would have kept her piehole shut.

God. Her arms make me want to throw up. It looks like they have gotten worse. I mean, I never saw what was so appealing about her. It would really be messed up if they were having an affair knowing he had a baby on the way. If you don't have any respect for anyone else's marriage you definately won't have any respect for your own. A-Rod is a know womanizer and if she chooses to leave guy for him she is a damn fool. If the rumors are true guy should let her go because she will soon find out what it is like to be an atletes wife/girlfriend. And I call bullshit too. Why would you feel the need to justify a lie?

Nice to give out official statements (hopefully not a press conference) after she herself helped to spread those rumors. Madonna is a fame whore so all of the sudden she is releasing album/tour and convenietly few months prior to that divorce rumors are heating up. Who gives a flying flip about this brazen ho and her man floormat??
She looks tired and drawn. Seems like the Material Girl's losing her touch when it comes to manipulation of the media. But surely she's been in the business long enough to realize that they'll turn on you like a pack of vultures if there is a whisper of a negative rumour. These days it seems that "catching out" celebs is the major emphasis of the gutter press. Truth doesn't seem to matter. When she was on her way up and childless, with her controversial, highly sexualized image, the attention paid to her by the media was all part of her publicity game. Now she is a married woman with children, it seems it has all come back to bite her. One would hope the divorce rumours are not true for the sake of her children, but it must be hard to live with such a driven, self-obsessed person.
