Jamie Lynn Spears And Maddie On The Cover Of Ok!
Jamie Lynn Spears brought out Maddie to make her big debut on the cover of Ok! Magazine. She also did an interview, telling them all about how motherhood is treating her so far.
She says that being far away from Hollywood is a good thing for her.
"Around here, everyone has the same focus. The focus is family, and that's a good way to live."
Jamie also talks about her delivery,
"They'd told me it would be an eight- to 12-hour labor, and I was ready to have the baby in three to four hours. I had a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery. I was very blessed."
And Jamie and Maddie are getting their own little routine going.
"She is very good," says Jamie Lynn. "She'll feed every two or three hours. When she wakes up in the middle of the night, I'll feed her and she goes right back to sleep. There's no screaming and crying. We get up in the morning, and she gets her little bath. Then I get my bath. We have a routine, and I love routines. I've worked one out with her, and we're happy going about our little life."
She seems like she's adjusting to life as a mother with no problems at all. Good for her!

I agree that this is really glamorizing teen pregnancy. She is making it sound effortless and I am sure it isn't the cakewalk she's describing.

Yeah I agree that teen pregnancy isn't good but she doing a good job of handling it...
She is young and it sucks but I am glad to see that she has stepped up to the plate and has taken responsibility for the baby. Although I am pro choice I also feel that it should be a last resort. She has the family support, the money, etc. to raise this little girl. Hopefully she will continue to do the right thing now that the baby is here and she will take good care of her.
Very well said. Although I think OK! is glorifying, etc. I do agree that she made the right choice in having the baby and I hope she continues to take good care of her. She was definitely in the position to keep this child and in doing that she has shown maturity. She probably feels obligated to say that things have been easy for her because she wants to show the public that she has the situation under control. Admitting it isn't always easy would suffice though.

She must have **** off the staff of OK! Magazine! That's a really bad picture of her. She does looks so old. Her hair/wig does looks grey.
They have a routine for now.... wait till the baby turns 4 months! I hate when people act like they have their 3 week old baby on a smooth schedule. bleh
OMG yes, that hair!! I was wondering what looked off about her. That grey hair does make her look like a granny. hey, maybe it was intentional to get people to forget for a split second that she's a teen mother.

I was a teen mom and I personally think it's great to see her stepping up to the plate and taking responsibility for her actions. Not all young mothers are irresponsible... it just started with an irresponsible act that most teens are out there doing anyways. But I agree, they're glamorizing this quite a bit.

What a great mother, already pimping out the kid for cash. I wonder who Jamie Lynn learned that from?
They are glamorizing it, because most teens don't have the money to own their own 4,000 sq ft home on several acres of land. They either live with their parents or in a tiny cheap apartment.

Oh Jamie you really screwed up you life. You had it all and blew it. The baby looks just like Casey.
Donna, I hope you are being sarcastic about the baby looking like Casey. Casey Aldridge is not the father of Jamie Lynn's baby, he's just getting perks for claiming the child and 'standing' beside Jamie Lynn through all this. The real father of Jamie Lynn's baby was one of the producers on Jamie Lynn's show, Zoey 101. Of course, he can NEVER claim responsibility for the child because he would be charged with statutory rape and have to go to jail. Jamie Lynn must be collecting checks from the real father every day, which helps pay for Casey.
Everyone, let's give OK! Magazine a BIG round of appuluse for glamorizing teen pregnancy!! JL is pure trash, just like her big sister.

Jamie Lyn is full of BS. She makes it seem like popping out a kid at 17 is all buttercups, bubblegum, and butterflies. Just give her a few months until reality sinks in.
Boy, it sure is easy to sit in judgment of someone else isn't it?!? Jamie Lynn made the choice to step up to the plate after she became pregnant. She could have had an abortion and if that had leaked out she would have gotten more of the same "trailer trash" or "whore" comments. No matter what she chooses to do there are always those of you who thrive in bashing other people. Give her a break already!

Please, why don't you use some of that advice you illicit so freely? I'm not talking about "lots of teens", I'm talking about Jamie Lynn. Are there irresponsible teen Mothers? Sure there are but keep my comment in context.

she should have aborted it, she's too young. Her older sister was too young and she was married. Look how that turned out. The Spears family is WAY too messed up, i feel sorry for all the kids being popped out by the sisters
Ummmm....she looks 60. They gray hair is horrible. She's 17 people! Let her look her age.
