Jamie Lynn Spears And Maddie On The Cover Of Ok!

Jamie Lynn Spears And Maddie On The Cover Of Ok!

Jamie Lynn Spears brought out Maddie to make her big debut on the cover of Ok! Magazine. She also did an interview, telling them all about how motherhood is treating her so far.

She says that being far away from Hollywood is a good thing for her.

"Around here, everyone has the same focus. The focus is family, and that's a good way to live."

Jamie also talks about her delivery,

"They'd told me it would be an eight- to 12-hour labor, and I was ready
to have the baby in three to four hours. I had a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery. I was very blessed."

And Jamie and Maddie are getting their own little routine going.

"She is very good," says Jamie Lynn. "She'll feed every two or three
hours. When she wakes up in the middle of the night, I'll feed her and
she goes right back to sleep. There's no screaming and crying. We get up in the morning, and she gets her little bath. Then I get my
bath. We have a routine, and I love routines. I've worked one out with
her, and we're happy going about our little life."

She seems like she's adjusting to life as a mother with no problems at all.  Good for her!

what's up with the grey hair? She looks more like a grandmother. And what an ugly matronly looking dress. Love how they glamorized teen pregnancy. Great job OK!

That's what I was coming here to say! She's doing well? Great. But she doesn't need to be on every cover saying how super it is to be a teen mom. .......................

Is there no accountability anymore???

I agree that this is really glamorizing teen pregnancy. She is making it sound effortless and I am sure it isn't the cakewalk she's describing.

Yeah I agree that teen pregnancy isn't good but she doing a good job of handling it...

She is young and it sucks but I am glad to see that she has stepped up to the plate and has taken responsibility for the baby. Although I am pro choice I also feel that it should be a last resort. She has the family support, the money, etc. to raise this little girl. Hopefully she will continue to do the right thing now that the baby is here and she will take good care of her.

Very well said. Although I think OK! is glorifying, etc. I do agree that she made the right choice in having the baby and I hope she continues to take good care of her. She was definitely in the position to keep this child and in doing that she has shown maturity. She probably feels obligated to say that things have been easy for her because she wants to show the public that she has the situation under control. Admitting it isn't always easy would suffice though.

Passerby Passerby said:

I don't think that the OK is glorifying teen pregnancy... I think that they are trying to make money!

Passerby Passerby said:

she looks 35. crazy

Passerby Passerby said:

maybe she shaved her head like her crazy sister...looks like she has a wig on

Passerby Passerby said:

She must have pissed off the staff of OK! Magazine! That's a really bad picture of her. She does looks so old. Her hair/wig does looks grey.

Jennz Jennz said:

They have a routine for now.... wait till the baby turns 4 months! I hate when people act like they have their 3 week old baby on a smooth schedule. bleh

OMG yes, that hair!! I was wondering what looked off about her. That grey hair does make her look like a granny. hey, maybe it was intentional to get people to forget for a split second that she's a teen mother.

I was a teen mom and I personally think it's great to see her stepping up to the plate and taking responsibility for her actions. Not all young mothers are irresponsible... it just started with an irresponsible act that most teens are out there doing anyways. But I agree, they're glamorizing this quite a bit.

Passerby Passerby said:

What a great mother, already pimping out the kid for cash. I wonder who Jamie Lynn learned that from?

They are glamorizing it, because most teens don't have the money to own their own 4,000 sq ft home on several acres of land. They either live with their parents or in a tiny cheap apartment.

Kudos to Jamie Lyn!!

Oh Jamie you really screwed up you life. You had it all and blew it. The baby looks just like Casey.

David David said:

Donna, I hope you are being sarcastic about the baby looking like Casey. Casey Aldridge is not the father of Jamie Lynn's baby, he's just getting perks for claiming the child and 'standing' beside Jamie Lynn through all this.

The real father of Jamie Lynn's baby was one of the producers on Jamie Lynn's show, Zoey 101. Of course, he can NEVER claim responsibility for the child because he would be charged with statutory rape and have to go to jail. Jamie Lynn must be collecting checks from the real father every day, which helps pay for Casey.

Everyone, let's give OK! Magazine a BIG round of appuluse for glamorizing teen pregnancy!! JL is pure trash, just like her big sister.

Alisson Alisson said:

Jamie Lyn is full of BS. She makes it seem like popping out a kid at 17 is all buttercups, bubblegum, and butterflies. Just give her a few months until reality sinks in.

Passerby Passerby said:

Boy, it sure is easy to sit in judgment of someone else isn't it?!? Jamie Lynn made the choice to step up to the plate after she became pregnant. She could have had an abortion and if that had leaked out she would have gotten more of the same "trailer trash" or "whore" comments. No matter what she chooses to do there are always those of you who thrive in bashing other people. Give her a break already!

Passerby Passerby said:

ewwwwwwwwwwwww

Passerby Passerby said:

because she gave birth she step up the plate??? huh? lots of teens gave birth, that does not mean they're automatically responsible. don't be so dumb!!!

Passerby Passerby said:

Please, why don't you use some of that advice you illicit so freely? I'm not talking about "lots of teens", I'm talking about Jamie Lynn. Are there irresponsible teen Mothers? Sure there are but keep my comment in context.

Passerby Passerby said:

Way to pimp your newborn, Jamie

Passerby Passerby said:

she should have aborted it, she's too young. Her older sister was too young and she was married. Look how that turned out. The Spears family is WAY too messed up, i feel sorry for all the kids being popped out by the sisters

I remember the good old days when people hid teens that got knocked up. Now they're out and about and act as though it's a good thing to have a trashy kid who will have sex at such a young age and has no morals.

I think her looking old is a good thing and perhaps intentional. It says you can't be cool looking if you're a mom. Now we all know that is not true. But teens looking at the picture might equate motherhood with being old and not cool.

Yes, she talking as if it's all kittens, puppies and rainbows but she can't help it. The baby isn't even walking or talking yet. Of course it's "perfect" during the first few months. Just wait until teething starts.......

What else is she going to say? That she screwed up her life, feels like a miserable, sleep deprived blob and can't stand the smell of sour milk on her clothes? Keep up the spin poor Jamie Lynn.

Is she supposed to walk around with her head hung in shame 24/7? Is she supposed to apologize? To whom? US? She had the resources (financially, etc.) to take care of her baby, so she kept it. I applaud her for thinking about her options and making the best choice for her and the baby.

I agree w/ you CapturingLife. Life isn't always glamorous in Hollywood. Teens make mistakes every day. Yes, Jamie Lynn was a child star who became pregnant when she was at the height of her popularity. But c'mon, does anybody really think she did this on purpose? Like any teen wakes up one morning & says she'll get pregnant today b/c she's bored? At least she's doing her best to take care of her child under the glaring microscope of the media.

Passerby Passerby said:

Um, I thought she had a c-section? I read that her baby was breech & she had a scheduled c-section. Guess that was false b/c she openly talks about how long her labor was in the OK! article. What's next, Brangelina have triplet monkeys in Bermuda? Or Gwen Stefani gives birth to a cast iron elephant? Check your facts people! Isn't that part of your job?

However she delivered her baby girl, she's adorable. Best of luck to the new parents & may they learn a few lessons from Aunt Britney on what not to do when in the presence of children.

My God, did those people at Ok magazine try and make a grandmother out of her? What's up with her hair? Everyone knows how old she is so there was no reason to dress her up like a 50 year old. Sorry to all those who are 50 and stylish, I didn't mean you! But I hope you know what I mean.

Passerby Passerby said:

Well. Of course it's easy for her. The family has millions, so taking care of a baby is cake when you can give them everything they want/need and pay for a nanny when you want to. Now, teen mums living on welfare, working two jobs and living in a one room flat? That's a whole different situation.

Miss Jaela Miss Jaela said:

OK is glamorizing teen pregnancy putting her on the front cover with the quote "being a mom is the best feeling..." What does Jamie Lynn know about being a mother yet she JUST gave birth. Everbody's applauding her b/c she didn't have an abortion of course not she has MONEY. That was easy. It a shame b/c many teen pregnancies are becoming trendy like a new handbag. Many don't realize the responsibility and hard work in being a GOOD mother. Teenagers can barely take care of themselves yet alone raise a child. Raising a child isn't easy especially you aren't even old enough to vote. But I guess Jamie Lynn will not have to live from pay check to paycheck like many teen moms..but tsk tsk money will be the least of her worries.
