The Reason Why Nicole Kidman Named Her Daughter Sunday Rose
There was a lot of conversation about the name choice Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban made for their first born. Some liked Sunday Rose while others were vocally opposed to it.
Today we learn WHY they chose such an unusal but sweet name. Nicole's father heard of a 20th century artist's muse named Sunday Reed and mentioned it to his daughter. It stuck! The middle name pays respect to Keith's grandmother Rose.
"I have read a bit about Sunday Reed and her husband John – she was a key mover and shaker in the arts around the beginning of the century," Kidman's father Antony told Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph. "The name Sunday struck me as being a nice name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it."

I like it! Try saying it with an Aussie accent: "Soon-DAI." May this child inherit her mother's hair -- and unlike her silly mother, may the child APPRECIATE her strawberry curls and refrain from straightening and bleaching them into utter boringness. Have you all seen Dead Calm? Remember Far and Away? Remember how dewy-faced and wild-haired Nicole used to be? Sigh. Those were the days.

Yeah, but that look is SO 80's and early 90's when frizzy hair used to be all the rage. Not so much anymore.

She could RELAX her curls and still have them, though! I loathe it when women with curly hair straighten it. I think it makes them look really severe.
um does she not have curls in this picture???

And how often do you see her with those curls in a movie anymore? That's my point, I guess. If I were her, I'd be flaunting them.
With age facial features sag and the carefree hair you had in your 20ies may not look good anymore. They can actually make you look unkept. Plus Nicole had so much botox and lip injections or implants she would look silly with those hair. Like aged Ms. Piggy.

I do wish she had stopped the Botox a long time ago. She doesn't look anything like she did when she was super young.
so she is not dewy face anymore, she is wax mask now. Recently I looked at her photo upclose and she looked odd. All people who overload on Botox have this odd expression on their faces. I am not against plastic surgery or Botox but it needs to be done well and not overdone. I think Nicole is not ready to have wrinkles and she could look seriously scarry close to 50ieth bday. I also wonder if botox can speed up skin aging by reducing blood supply that brings oxygen to the area. It is like a vicious cycle..Also Nicole's lips do not look good. I can see slightly enchancing thin lips but again it is like people go from a cup to d cup. Looks obvious, they never had enough skin so implants look tight like cantalupes. Same with lips. Lips have tiny wrinkles, when you place large implant, wrinkles get stretched out and lips look odd. This is why implants in lips rarely, if ever, look good.
people can do what they want with their hair! just bc your hair looks like a cheap wig...............

Excuse me? Oh, hi there! It's my insane little anonymous friend again! How are you doing this afternoon, my batty little amiga? Just chillin' in front of the computer, waiting for yours truly to post? I thought so! I just wanted to let you know that my hair is massively thick, very wavy, and all natural. I don't even dye it. Have a great day! XOXO!

HILARIOUS! As if I honestly care what such an obviously-ignorant person thinks of my opinions! And, you know what? I strongly suspect that YOU are the only person who targets me on this site. If you're not -- grow a pair and get yourself a profile on this site. I'm confident about the way I look, speak, and otherwise present myself. Aren't you? And I think your stupidity is absolutely riotous. "your only embarrassing yourslef darlin". Are you drunk?! Have you even attended an English class EVer in your whole LIFE? Have you ever read a BOOK? I'm not talking about Cosmo or Us Magazine. I'm talking about those thingies with spines and chapters and big words. I'M not embarassed at ALL. I feel EXCEPTIONALLY INTELLIGENT right now!
The more I see Sunday Rose in print, the more I like it!
Oh for the heaven's sake, who cares!? Stars like to feel important by explaining things not many people care to know about, unless they are insane in a membrane. Her name can be Tuesday Wednesday of Robinson Friday for all I care.

I'm assuming someone asked them how they chose the name, and they responded with an answer. I do the same thing when people ask me how my kids got their names, and I'm not a star. At least, I don't think so.... That's how magazines, etc get quotes - by asking questions!
Sunday and John Reed were well-known patrons of the Arts in Melbourne in the 1930s. The artist, Sidney Nolan, on his second marriage and married to Sunday's sister, Cynthia, became involved in an open affair with Sunday, and some say her husband in a menage a trois. Eventually, Sunday would not leave her husband for Nolan, and Cynthia obviously had problems with their "bohemian " lifestyle, as Nolan went on to marry Mary Boyd. Today it is still possible to visit their home, Heide, which has been turned into a gallery. While Sunday Reed may have had considerable influence in the Arts back then, I am not sure that she is material I would name my daughter after. But then each to their own, and there have been far worse names "celebs" have called their kids. Apparently Frank Zappa called his son, "Moon Unit". It should be classified as child abuse!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the name, Sunday Rose...so lovely! About Nicole's appearance, well kinda like her now.......maybe because Im young and have never seen her older movies:)only Practical Magic! And one more thing I realize, Im not really into physical beauty, Im more interested about these celeb's character.
