Guess who gave the following quote:
"In no way would I ever pimp out my child for money."
Yeaaaah, it was Usher. Who's that on the cover of Essence magazine? Yep, same guy. :) In the words of a wise reader, "He totally did it!" But, dang, if that isn't one of the CUTEST babies I have ever seen!!!

I'm so proud of myself. LMAO. That is definitely one of the cutest babies EVER.
Wow, what a gorgeous baby. Bet he said that BEFORE he was a dad. A pride thing, Look at how cute my kid is, kicks in. I killed folks with pictures, daily lol. Seems he is human after all. Wow. What a beautiful baby.
I don't think he was paid for the photos though, I don't think Essence does that. So, he actually didn't pimp his kid for dough.

he did the cover for FREE. the quote comes from a page six article a few months ago after he did the photo shoot.

A few months ago they did a huge story on her without him; they didn't ignore her. Additionally, this was their annual men's issue so there weren't many women in the mag. HTH
I think it was because the focus of the article was fatherhood. Also this magazine already did an interview with his wife a few months ago. I'm not a fan of Usher but this picture is adorable.

Yeah there is no way he'd pimp his child, because no one cares about his child. his mother hates his wife, the public doesnt know who she is and yeah his kids cute, but id take angie pimping her twins any day over ushers kid
I think what Usher meant about pimping his child is getting paid for baby photos. Only the tabloids pay. Entertainment and fashion magazines like Essence don't. In my opinion, there's no difference concerning paying of pictures. The celebrity is still showing off their child and a picture would be released anyway.

I doubt he got paid much for this...it's more for pub than money...but publicity turns into money in the long-term...But I cand understand not wanting to hold out and give pics to the highest bidder.
thats the most beautiful baby boy ever! you can almost imagine how he will look like in 18 years, i bet he will be more handsome than his gorgeous daddy!
