yeah and its typical of teenagers to do drugs and drink alcohol but it certainly doesn't make it okay quit justifying that this is typical behavior of a 15 year old parents need to be parents and keep kids kids quit allowing them to take the roles of adults in sexual situations. your probably the type of parent that allows your children to have drinking parties. your justifications are just your way of saying hey im a slut too so whats so wrong with her being one.

Totally agree. I read that these pics were sent to her then-boyfriend. I shudder to think of the kind of damage I might have done to myself if MY teenage obsession with boys had progressed in the digital age. Because I was BOY CRAZY. ALL of my friends were simarly obsessed. We read Teen, YM, and Seventeen magazine to enable our fixations - both mags guarunteed a range of articles dedicated to figuring boys out, figuring out how to dress for dates, get our crushes's attention, make the right first impression, etc. I remember this giant full page ad that was featured near the back of every single teen mag - it was for this training package called "GET HIM" and it promised to help any teen girl get the guy of her dreams. We're all set up from a young age to not only be VERY interested in boys but also to take heavy measures to make ourselves alluring to them. It's unfair to punish her for something that is so much bigger than she is.

okay, you have a point there, teenage girls in our society are constantly taking pictures that can be considered "sluttish" which is basically a direct result of myspace. whatever, thats fine because it's not going to stop, girls will keep taking photos that are suggestive for the sole purpose of people commenting these pictures and saying theyre hot or gorgeous. myspace is a self-esteem booster, and if girls want to do that, fine whatever, let them. but there is a fine line between acting sexy and acting like you're a star in girls gone wild. i believe this picture is crossing that line! there is really no excuse for this picture, at all, from any 15 year old girl. But what miley fails to realize is that she is a young disney star; a celebrity! it doesnt matter how private pictures are meant to be, its extremely stupid for a celebrity of her age to continue taking pictures like this over and over and over again; and they keep getting out into the press, onto the internet. you'd think she would learn by now, but the pictures keep getting worse. if this is the kind of attention shes after, what kind of role model is that for our children? there's no reason for this, and apparently miley doesn't have a brain in her head that would make her realize that the press and paparazzi are constantly watching her every move. instead of trying to uphold her reputation shes trashing it with her idiodic decisions and actions. real smart.

So because she is a highly paid actress and singer, she owes it to you and the rest of the world to provide the moral guidance that only families and communities should be providing their children? This average teenager is expected to live her PRIVATE life thinking about US? Seriously, when are people going to wake up and stop looking to the media to provide moral and spiritual leadership? It's a mistake to give average people that much pull in our lives. You say, "She's on T.V., she's a role model to little girls. " I say NO ONE that makes their career selling their image and performance skill in Hollywood (of all places) should ever be given be given that responsibility -- especially not an average flighty, immature teen. Cuz, guess what? You're going to be disappointed EVERY TIME. Because real teens do stupid things -- that's how they learn how to avoid doing more stupid things. We call it growing up. And Miley Cyrus is going to do that, even as you call her names.

BTW, you didn't get the Muslim analogy right, i compared the way we treat our teens in comparison to islamic society in order to make the point that We DO give our teens all the freedom in the world, but then we PUNISH them for taking advantage of that freedom. You know, like calling her a whore and a tramp..
