According to the AP, the first pictures of the newborn twins to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly worth more than $11 million dollars, with some speculating $15 to $20 million.
#2 - $6 million – Max & Emme Anthony (Jennifer Lopez / Marc Anthony)
#3 - $4.1 million – Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt (Angelina Jolie / Brad Pitt)

Most of the Jolie - Pitt kids are on the list. How strange that will be when they are older and can understand what their pictures fetched.
This is truely disgusting!!! Here I am making barley 33k while doing overtime and I barley make ends meet! I am grateful to own a car and a house but that does not leave me much money for other things! It just truely digusts me that this kind of money is being given out for baby photos! They are just babies or "blobs" as Angelina perfers to call babies! Jeeeez this is an outrage and you have hte likes of Trangelina and fat slob lopez raking in this money and pimping out their babies! Halle Barry is the only sane one who has RESPECT for her baby!
It is fuckin disgusting BUT if people were not so 'celeb' OBSESSED then this would not even be able to happen. Funny that Brad and Angelina say they donate the money to charity but yet they never mention where BUT everyother time they shell out coin the masses are alerted. Its all so fuckin lame and out of control, none of these 'celebs' are worth their weight in salt, none of these people mentioned are even talented. Angelina and Brad are 2 of the WORST actors ever, Jennifer Lopez...Dont even get me started on her. Anna Nicole Smith, we all know how well that went. And now Matthew McCon is going with the flow too, with rights to a wedding and first christmas, I mean I cant even fathom how greedy these people are. The egos need to be constantly stroked, hence the fact they all have kids, they want to be 'needed' and 'admired' all the time. I am convinced that this 'new breed of people being famous for no reason' is some sick sick shit.

I just dont see how a Mag could still turn a profit after paying that much for pics. Once they hit the stands they are public and shortly after you can find them on the Net...
I guess they hope it will bring in new readers who otherwise might not even buy the Mag and ultimately they hope the new reader will buy the Mag weekly after that

Would you rather get paid millions for authorized pictures of your kids that you could then give to charity or have all the paps about kill themselves and your family trying to get that sacred first picture? Just because you they didnt tell you where the money went, doesnt mean Angelina and BRad didnt give it to charity. Look at their record for humanitarianism. I really don't think that it is ethical to sell pictures of your baby regardless of what you do with the money. It is like putting a price on their heads and that is just wrong to me. I also think that in the case of the Pitts that the fact that the adopted children got way lower prices - shows who is more "important". this cannot help but influence these children when they are older. I don't understand why these couples even allow the bidding to take place it is so degrading. Also why don't they just release a photo and donate money to charity on their children's behalf. They certainly have enough money and don't need to sell their children's pictures to survive or to donate to charity.
Releasing a pictures to all media at the same time would make the picture worthless in terms of money and would have the same effect as selling a picture. In fact if they released a picture every month for free then the whole idea of the paps chasing them would become mute.
When the proceeds is donated to charity, it's cool. But when millionaires pimp their kid's baby pics, it just kinda sickening.
Here is the deal. Either it is OK and ethical to sell your child’s pictures or it is not. What you do with the money is not important. For example let’s say that we believe that having an affair with a married person is not ethical. Then is it alright to have an affair if you make money off it and give it to charity. No the act is still the same not ethical. Selling baby pictures is just not ethical regardless what is done with the money. You can’t make a wrong right by using the money for a good cause. Also what does that mean for the family. Pax was only important enough for 2 million, Shiloh for 4 million, the twins for what 11 million. What about the next adopted baby - less or more. It sets up stuff in families that will affect them later on. Knox willl always be the most important son in the media and worth the most money. Really sad that the acts of the parents have set this up. Even in best dressed tots Shiloh mentioned not Zhara not mentioned. I really feel sorry for these kids they now have a price on their heads and it is not ethical. If you are a proud and happy parent release a picture for free and donate some money to a charity in their name - the same for each child. They make millions a film I am sure that they could afford some.

This whole phenomenon of selling baby pix is fairly recent. Maybe it's just another facet of the cult of celebrity and a way for both the media and the parents of the child/ren to make money. Money has to be driving force. As for placing value on baby photos, the most valuable are those of your own children. I look at photos of my two boys as babies (now aged 22 and 19) and it brings tears to my eyes. It only seems like yesterday they were born, yet so much growth and development has occurred in the intervening to turn them into the fine young men they are today. To me, those photos are priceless. I am sure it is the same for all other parents. It puts things into perspective.
I think there's a HUGE difference between Angelina and Brad selling pix and donating the money to charity and Larry Birkhead essentailly pimping his daughter's every experience to the highest bidder...
I would sell my kids pictures for millions too. Why not? Its just pictures and those millions will take care of them for the rest of their lives. There are kids in magazines everyday, they get paid for it yet its a problem when a CELEBRITY puts their kid in a magazine and gets paid for it. I see nothing wrong with it. Its just a picture. Of course the price of one person is going to vary, its like models, all pictures of models are not worth the same, one is always going to be worth more or less. If someone offered me 1 million dollars just for a picture of my baby I would give it to them without a second thought. You could get more information on a person from google, selling a little picture won't hurt anything.
This list has gotta piss off Larry Birkhead. As hard as he works to exploit his child and there are that many people still making more than he is. They're all beating him at his own game and it must drive him crazy.
