Kitson Drops Lauren Conrad

L.A. boutique Kitson just dropped Lauren Conrad’s line. The "actress" didn’t do much to promote it and sales plummeted.

"Sales were lackluster," Kitson owner Fraser Ross told us. "Initially it was great. They need to realize it’s no different than selling your album, your TV shows, your movies. You have to keep promoting it."

This isn’t the first line Kitson has dropped. A few weeks ago, Victoria Beckham got the boot as well. Has anyone seen Lauren’s line up close and personal? A store in town that I frequent says she can’t keep the clothes on the racks! I guess not everyone is turned off by the high prices.

It’s amazing the way these entertainers are all clothes designers as well without an ounce of training. Where I live, it takes 3 years of full-time study to even get a foot in the door. Obviously they pay someone to come up with the designs and stick their label on it, expecting the public to pay ridiculously high-prices for something you get at a much lower price without the label. Judging by the way these lines constantly fail, it seems the public is not so stupid. The same goes for up-market designers who do a “cheap” collection for chain stores. At Target in Australia Stella McCartney did just that, and it was a disaster. The designs were weird and overpriced for what you were getting. In the end, they were being hawked at 25% of the original prices. Again, the public was not taken in.

SHE ALWAYS HAS THE SAME POSE AND UGLY GRIN ON HER FACE. I ACTUALLY LIKE HER CLOTHES, JUST NOT THE PRICE

I went and tried some of it on when it first came out. It fit all right, but it’s more than I’d spend for casual cotton basics.

  8. OVERRATED PLAYBOY PORNSTAR KELLY MONACO WIth fake juggs LEFT CUMSTAINS AND RIPS IN HER DRESSES SHE RENTED FROM KITSO FOR HER 43RD BIRTHDAY PARTY AND DWTS HASBEEN FINALE IN MAY 2008

Im kind of glad it got dropped. This girl gets everything handed to her on a platter. She needs a dose of reality.

  10. Am says:

I only saw it on the web. But it did not look like anything one could buy at Target. The prices we insanely high for such plain dresses made of cotton.

I am goint to say HA HA HA HA HA HA! Lauren in order to make money off of your lcothing line you have to gasp..actually work honey! Just because you make millions on The Hills staring at people and acting like a little prissy baby doesnt mean that you’ll make money doing nothing in the real world! Grow up! Actual work = money!

She is an idiot, she was trying to sell Target/Forever 21 quality clothes for the price of Bloomingdales clothes. I hope this is just taking her a step closer to total irrelevance and she can take that stupid show and her stupid ‘frenemies’ with her.

  13. lea says:

Agree with every body!! her clothes look cheap, but cost toooooooo much.

Hope all those stupid girls from the hills and all those stupid reality show will disappear forever. We dont need that kind of celebrity. Weel I dont need them.

  14. Passerby says:

I like how you put “actress” in quotation marks. From what I’ve seen Kitson is overpriced and their clothes aren’t even original.

  15. Ashley says:

Kitson is trashy overpriced LA crap and Lauren’s is just overpriced plain crap.
