Maggie Gyllenhaal was photographed arriving to "The Late Show With David Letterman" wearing a 1930's black vintage dress and head band. Maggie is known for being non-traditional with her clothing style. She brings something different to every event she attends. What do you think about her choice?

She looks the best I've ever seen her. VK
Love it! She looks great.
I think she looks GREAT! She can pull this look off well!
love the dress and the shoes...HATE the hair!
i almost like the dress, but i can't get behind the big strap on one side and the spaghetti strap on the other. i just think all these pieces together are too much. overstated, if you will.
Love it!
Love it!
She totally pulls off the flapper look!
Hate the look.... LOVED her on Letterman last night. She's very well spoken and seems to have a very gentle personality... the perfect sis-in-law for Reese! =) Ohhh how I wish I could do lunch with those girls, lol.
It's really cute - but not for the middle of the day.
She must have a new stylist, she really looks great.
That's what i thought too. A new stylist who knows how to accentuate her features without making her look like tramp. She's definitely an eye-catcher lately.
love it!
totally love it!
Almost love it. Not digging the hair...
I think it would have looked better with her hair down, a la Veronica Lake (since she's wearing the vintage) Also I agree that it's not really a look for day, but whatever.
Love her, love the whole look. Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff :)
Love everything except the thing on her head
I love it! She totally has the face and figure for this look. It really suits her the way the retro look suits Dita von Teese. ~ Nyx ~
She totally dances to the beat of a different drummer. Hate it. But I am sure she could care less what I think. :-)
I like it in a costumey way. It's odd to see that out during the daylight, though. Very black and formal looking.
That is one of the best, if not the best pictures I have ever seen of her! Love it for sure.
Why do you say that it is a vintage dress when you clearly don't know that? Darling, the dress is a Lanvin one from the Autumn-Winter 08-09 collection. So are the shoes. And her stylist (who is still the same not a 'new' one as some of you were saying) is Christine Ehlrich (very lovely lady).
Wow enough with the condescending attitude.
Condenscending attitude? While Vera may be a lovely gossip blogger, when it comes to fashion she often lacks accuracy. Instead of defining that dress as something it isn't (vintage), why not just saying black dress? Or she could hire someone who is more adept when it comes to fashion.
I've never seen her look good. Never Ever. And this picture shows how bad she really can look.
she just always seems so smug, so i can't think she's pretty
I don't think she looks good either. Even when she modeled for Agent Provacateur so looked bad. She needs a stylist.
Maggie is not a very attractive woman, she needs to find what works for her and bring it out. With the help of a stylist she can achieve that. She is not ugly, she is just ordinary looking, many actresses are ordinary looking but they know what to do to look sexy. Maggie needs lots of guidance and help.
wow, really? i'm curious - what are some female celebrity examples of an "attractive woman" in your book? i could just pinch her cheeks and coo at her pretty little face for days.
