Zach Braff Leaving Scrubs

Scrubs fans! I have some terrible news for you. Zach Braff will leave the show at the end of the season. The show will bring in some younger interns to try to introduce new story lines. Before his final farewell, viewers will get to see Courtney Coxalongside Braff for three episodes. Guess it’s somewhat of a farewell present.

The end of the show will be about J.D. (Braff’s character) leaving the hospital." But Lawrence also insists, "You can’t kill this show."

oh no, what’s scrubs without him? Isn’t he like the main character? I’m not a huge scrubs fan, but watch(ed) it sometimes and thought his character was great. But I guess they can’t go on with the same crew forever. I think he’ll be a loss for the show though

  2. Passerby says:

Ummmm…how do you let the MAIN character go? That’s not quite right since it’s his voice we hear during the storyline’s voiceovers. Doesn’t make sense to me. It almost sounds like they are going to “add the baby” to create new storylines. (You know when a show starts dropping in ratings, they bring in a baby to throw a wrench into things. i.e. Chrissy on Growing Pains)

I think thats called jumping the shark. google it.

Well I’m sure I won’t be watching after he leaves. I mean, all the other characters are great but J.D. IS the show! That sucks, I love Scrubs.

I loved scrubs too, but I think it’s time to let it go. I hate to see a show self-destruct.

Noooo!! He and Turk together MAKE that show. I’ll be bawling my eyes out for the last episodes when they say their goodbyes… :( But I’m with you guys, I don’t think I’ll watch the next season without him. Not the same.

Um, this is not news. Zach’s said it in his blogs before. Good try, though.
