Ricki Lake attended the HollyRod Foundation DesignCare Event in Malibu, California wearing a floral patterned mini dress with grey suede shoes. I love the colors and even the length, but the sleeves and shoes are throwing me off. What do you think of her outfit?

I don't think it's very flattering. And the shoes aren't doing a thing for me. :(
wow the pattern just looks very very old fashioned! also the material seems weird, kinda stretchy and not what I'd consider wearable for an event.
Yeah, I don't like it on her. I think that the dress could be really flattering on a different body type. and I LOVE the shoes, but they don't match that dress.
it's too loud. big women should never wear big floral pattern - it will only make you look bigger!!
Oy! That is an extremely unflattering print.
Oy! That is an extremely unflattering print.
what ever happened to her?
Whoever referred to her as a 'big woman' is delusional. She is damn skinny in comparison to American women and in comparison to where she once was. She is average looking now but by no means 'big'. The dress has potential the shoes just fail to bring it all together. With the right shoes and handbag she would have been ok.
her waistline is too wide and unflattering
too much purple
love me some Ricki but she does not have the body/legs to pull off this kind of outfit.
I do not like te shoes either but I admire her for showing off her new body. She was really brave to lose that amount of weight! I just lost 40 pounds and I dont feel that confident (yet). J.
The winter shoes aren't working with it, and the hair is wrong too, needs different accessories. The sleeves aren't bad, the dress would be ok put together with the right things. Like rockin' high heels, that height heel isn't working with the dress, winter or summer shoes. Big girl? Isn't she like a size four now? Someone is stuck in the past.
It's a tough dress to pull off... and she just doesn't quite have it. I love the dress, it's just not right for her... and I know because I'm built the same way. I can't wear dresses like that either. And yes, she's way, way thinnner than she used to be... and she looks great! She's also petite yet very curvey... and that dress is made for someone tall and skinny... like Giselle.
pardon me but Ricky is not curvy-she is thick. Kim Kardashian is curvy, Jlo is curvy, Halle Berry is curvy, Monique is obese, Ricky is thick. Why are all overweight, obese, shapelss thick women are in a curvy category???
I think Ricki herself looks great, but the dress is a wrong choice for her. Those sack shaped batwinged type dresses (and big prints) only work on really tall and super thin women. She's adorable, but the dress is wrong for her height/body proportions. She also short waisted which just doesn't work with sack dresses either. They make the person look rounder than they are and swallow up the figure.
Cute dress - not right for her, though....
As Tim Gunn would say "It's a lotta look". Too much competition between the print, the sleeves, the length, etc. It's just wrong.
Love Ricki Lake...hate the dress! Agree that it would look much better on Giselle.
It's not my favorite dress. BUT- after such a great weight loss, she should wear whatever and feel awesome about herself. After years of being heavier and having such a limited wardrobe, she's entitled to some fun clothes. Rock it out Rikki:)
Ricky dropped all that weight a while back and she looks so much better and I am sure she is healthier. But just like Kelly Osborne she does not have a good built-weight or no weight. Specifically all apple shape and double jointed in the knees people have this shape. Although they cannot achieve a great body, losing weight for health reasons is great. Also it is wise to use clothing to show off and accentuate positives rather than negatives. Not every body in this world needs to have great body and it is OK not to be physically beautiful. Also since they drop weight they have so many options with clothing, but they stick to the ones that every fat girl dreams about-revealing short mini.
Hate it. I agree -- unflattering print. Also, the shape of the dress is wrong for her body type. Ricky has gained some of her weight back. The excess weight is making her apple-shaped. That's simply how her body stores the extra weight. If she lost the extra weight, her shape would be hour-glassed again like the way it was before. Apple shapes are only apple shapes when there's extra weight involved. I know. I have the exact shape body type. I've both on sides of the fence -- overweight (apple-shaped) and lean (hour-glass).
Rikki has put on several pounds, discipline is hard when you are surrounded by so many restaurants, fast food restaurants and dessert chains everywhere you go!
love her self-esteem. hate the cluelessness. www.thetennischick.blogspot.com
not good.
what was she thinking? heinous.
She's gaining some weight back. The look of the print on that plus sized body is terrible.
I've had the hots for Ricki for years. Personally speaking, I thought she was at her hottest when she had more curves a few years back.
how come no one is saying anything about those UUUGGLLYYYY legs she has???? OMG where pants til the day you die girl!
What a bad girl for not being born with the current "in" Hollywood female body stereotype.
