America Ferrera was spotted filming for Ugly Betty in Manhattan yesterday. Really, what else would she be doing in that outfit? 
It’s like the stylist is playing a game to see just how mismatching she can make every piece of clothing on America’s body.
I’m sure that’s probably a designer skirt, a designer cardigan and a designer pair of shoes, but anything worn with orange socks is a recipe for disaster. I wonder if it drives America crazy to have to wear these clothes when she’s so stylish in real life!
They get a lilttle carried away with her clothes on Ugly Betty. No one dresses like that!

I hate that show. And the first poster is right…they get carried away, because no one dresses like that. They try way too hard with the hair and the braces and the clothing. She always looks like she is dressed up as Ugly Betty, not a real person.
i highly doubt it drives America Ferrer crazy, she’s getting paid to dress that way and it;s part of her job. she new what she was getting into when she accpeted the role. I bet if you got paid the big bucks ( and i don’t know how much she makes, but i bet it’s more than what a regular person makes) you’d wear it too!
I love the show, but I do think they’ve been getting a little bit carried away lately. However these are just stills for the new season, we’ve really no idea why she’s dressed like that. It wouldn’t surprise me if she’s trying to do something… be more stylish, follow a trend, or something. (The belt just suggests that to me, since it doesn’t seem like a normal “betty thing” to wear)
I love Ugly Betty. They just need to get the story lines back on track. They went a bit overboard last season.
I find it stupid that they dress her like that. Come on, she works for a fashion magazine and still doesn’t know how to dress properly? Very far fetched.
