Angelina Jolie As Next Catwoman

Over at the Los Angeles Times they seem to think that Angelina Jolie would make the best next Catwoman. But, the papers' readers seem to disagree. Even though she's starred in a ton of action films, they don't want her taking part in the franchise.

Well, if HALLE BERRY couldn't do it, WHY COULD ANGELINA do it?!?! I thought that this franchise had gravitas now, and they want to bring it back to a Batman and Robin level? They're talking about giving a posthumous Oscar to Heath Ledger! Why in the HELL are they trying to camp it up again? I say, if they're going to incorporate Catwoman, that they give the role to an Asian actress like Gong Li, since you hardly EVER see Asian women in any sort of major movie role. She's gorgeous, and I think she's sort of edgier. I'd be able to take her seriously in that role. We've just seen Angelina play that dark and sinister erotic vixen waaaaay too many times. Enough already.

I don't care for Catwoman, but if they're going to put the character in there, then NO! She does not deserve it. Someone else needs to get the role. I don't see why she has to get all the leading ones. iI'm not going to judge her acting abilities to the extent that many do, but seriously, what is she going to do? Just stare and look "sexy" the whole time? Puh-lease. Batman isn't about sexiness. Besides, doesn't she have enough money and fame?
No! I'm tired of her vamping it up in all her roles, can't she ever play a normal person? Agree 100% with Ernestine, this "exotic, tough vixen" role is getting very old. And, I know there are much more qualified actresses for something like this. They would make it campy like Halle did, not try to be too serious like Angie.
I think she could pull it off. Personally I would love to see Angelina play Mrs. Robinson in a remake of "The Graduate".
If Angelina gets any more plastic surgery, she will LOOK like a catwoman! No acting necessary.

No one would give a hoot about Angelina if she wasn't with Brad & she knows it. She's trying to get all the media time she can while she's with him. (another Denise Richards, and all those other "I'm somebody while I'm with HIM" kind of woman) She never was even in People magazine until she and Maddox and Brad were in it when they were making Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Even with an Oscar and several movies behind her, until that People issue, nobody knew, or cared, who she was. She is NOT a good actress and I would love to see her just go away. She doesn't deserve the role of catwoman, or anything else!
I agree about Angelina Jolie, but not about Debnise Richards. She made ehr way to fame from Wild Things. She made her way to fame ALL BY HERSELF!
She is not a good actress. I haven't liked any of her movies besides Girl Interrupted. And she seemed to probably play herself in that one. She is looking older and more haggardly every day. I just don't get the sexy part of her look. Maybe quite a few years ago, but now? UH NO. And so what if she is adopting children from other nations. She wasn't the first to do it. Mia Farrow has five times the kids that she has. And long long ago. Marie Osmond has 5 adopted children, a couple with disabilities. There are plenty of people who have done it before she has. That doesn't make her super woman, or cat woman. All she does is play super hero type women. Carrying a gun. Not impressed.

What a dumb idea that would be; Angie Jo as Catwoman would be like putting Reese Witherspoon in that role....bad casting at it's best! At least Reese can act which is more than Angie Jo has proven for herself with her last several bombs. Her ego seems to be so inflated lately, that she mistakenly believes she CAN act....she ruined A Mighty Heart with that Alexander accent used again, and in Wanted, it was a characture of her former acting ability. Huge let down for any true Lara Croft fans....Angelina Jolie the actor is gone forever, now all we have left is Angie Jo.....sad, so sad.
I totally agree. I hate to say it but Angelina type women do not seem to look good in mother roles. Perhaps it is something about her look. Now, she can be a great mother, but she does not even look like she should have any children. And even if she does it has to be one boy, with long locks. I know I sound crazy but this is just my opinion.
it doesn't matter - michelle pfeiffer was the absolute best catwoman. no one could touch her. she was a very sexy and creepy catwoman. angelina would like one of pete doherty's cats....alive or dead!! i think she probably has enough on her old veiny hands anyway. with her 16 kids and all....
Oh my God! I TOTALLY forgot about Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns -- and you're right. She OWNED that role. So, so, so good. I'd actually love it if Hollywood brought her back for that part -- I mean, my lord, she's still stunning, and we hardly ever see her in anything anymore.

Oh, are you new to all the Angelina hate on this website? :-) Just sit back, say something positive about the Jolie-Pitts -- ANYTHING remotely positive -- and enjoy the Brangaloonie show. *shrugs.* I definitely don't dislike her, and I think that the people who keep calling her ugly are A) blind, B) jealous, or C) ludicrous.

NO. She should not be the next Catwoman. Halle Berry shouldn't have even been in that catwoman movie. They need to leave it to a younger actress (dare I say it). Maybe an actress a little bit unknown. Angelina wouldn't be good in the role... I say no
Jealousy much??? No one will pull like Anige. They should cast her. They shouldn't listen those who rage with burning jealosy. They should ask real critics who know about talent and ablity . Angie is perfect for this role. She is sexy , distincive and very belivable in her acting..
I'd never go to see a movie of hers or pay for a magazine if she's in it - her motives for all her ' charitable work ' seem fishy and questionable to me - I make sure that I don't finance her self- promotion.
If you were not here and everywhere wanting to know about her ,she wouldn't be in tabs or in any newsletters. You wan to know about her that is why she is what she is . Every magazine dream. I unfortunately think too many people would be concerned about it being her, than her performance. As many replies to this entry indicate.
