Why can't Elizabeth Hasselbeck stay out of a fight? Or is it... why can't people stop picking on Elizabeth? I'm not sure which is which. But that poor girl is like a magnet for conflict. Check out Fran Drescher questioning Elizabeth's fight tactics and Elizabeth calling in to defend herself.Â

They can't stop picking on her because she's a moron.
As usual Elizabeth is the only conservative on The View. I've seen Dresher in several interveiws and she is a toal bitch. I don't usually watch The View because other than Elizabeth I can't stand watching so many un-informed,stupid,hateful women.( LOL they think they are informed )
I don't know what it is about Elizabeth...she is just so annoying and she's certainly not the sharpest tool in the shed. It's not so much whether we agree with her or not, it's how she present herself. I really wish Barbara would fire her ass and hire someone who can hold an intelligent conversation. I agree, her crying at the end was truly pathetic, I'm almost embarrassed for her.
Elizabeth is such a fake, her argument is specious as hell. Just teach your kids not to use the word, and shut up about it. End of story. It's just like the b-word. She is just used to getting her way.
Elizabeth IS a crybaby. She cannot stand for anyone to disagree with her. That, above all else, is what makes her annoying and basically a joke. Fran didn't say she was going to teach anyone to say that word. No one has to teach that word, it's a part of American culture like it or not. Too many people are in denial about this but I digress.......
I personally don't like Elizabeth Hasselbeck. However, I do agree with her take on the N-word. Their shouldn't be a double standard when it comes to the N-word. I'm a Black American and my parents taught me never to use that word. If someone black were to address me using that word I would be equally offend if not more.

Ever heard of stick and stones? It's just a word. Don't give it any power and it won't have any. There are sooooooooooooo many more important things to focus on in life and in the United States.
I think if didn't experience the Civil Rights movement than it's easy to say it's just a word.
What a hypocrite. She has the nerve to accuse Fran of hurting women when it was Elisabeth who started crying when she couldn't come up with an intelligent counterargument. Typical dumb, elitist brat.
She came up with countless intelligent counterarguments. Whoopie and Sheri just kept repeating the SAME nonsensical argument that black people own the word now. Why should any one race OWN a word? And also, Elisabeth was arguing that she doesn't believe that blacks should be able to use the n-word in popular culture/out in the public. Sheri said at the top of the segment that she went to a funeral for the n-word where they buried it--never to be seen by the public again. She later admitted that she still uses it in private. Okay...so then don't she and Elisabeth agree? Eliminate the word from public usage--rap songs, TV shows, comedy sketches--and there won't be an issue. If blacks limit their usage of it to private affairs, twelve year old kids won't use it when singing the latest Jay-Z song.
This is America. Free speech. Again, it's just a word. Jeez.
if it's 'just a word" then there would not be suge a huge debate over it usage. You can't have free speech and a double standard. Its either acceptable or not. Its like how you can't sit in a movie theater and scream FIRE when there is none and claim free speech- its just wrong across the board.
I agree with her on the use of the N-word... It doesnt make sense... if you call yourself a word usually it would be okay to for other people to call you it.... Dont get me wrong I dont use it or never would because it hurts people... but it doesnt make sense to say that we can call eachother it but if your white you cant call me it. I dont really like Elizabeth but I think she makes an good argument... The crying, she is just an emotional person... some people get emotional when they are expressing thier opinion.
There was a time when ONLY white people used it. So what's the difference. It's hilarious when so many people say "I never use the N word" but they don't speak up when others do. Hypocrites. Like the reason their kids hear the word is only through rap music. Yeah right. That's why the Blacks want to take it back. So they can have ownership. It's not my place to tell people what words to use. Think about it...if you never use the word, why do you care if other people use it? It makes no sense. Just make sure you don't. It's that simple. I don't use that word and I DO tell people not to use it. I think it is an ugly word and it just spreads hate! I don't think anyone should use it.

Who the HELL are you to encroach on my freedom to do as I please (tackyness notwithstanding) if I'm not breaking the law? IT's just a word. If people are that thin-skinned, perhaps they should consider suicide as an option. Capeesh, my ass!
If that was the only word in the world that carries a double standard when it applies to who says it, I would be right there fighting for it to be abolished from the english language.

I dont watch the view but from this small snippet I am left with the impression that Elizabeth is a complete IDIOT.
I LOVE Fran D....Esp. how she puts Elisabeth in her place: "YOU HAVE MADE YOUR POINT ENDLESSLY!" LOL! Yes, that pretty much sums her up, doesn't it?! I feel sorry for Elisabeth's CHILDREN--UGH :(

I think with Elisabeth they really paint a picture of all conservative women being idiotic, clueless and unable to express themselves. Which is unfortunate, because that certainly isn't true for all conservative women - in fact it's just as true for liberal women. But that's not the picture they want to paint.
I think that using the term "that poor girl" to describe Hasselbeck is the farthest from appropriate. She seeks out conflict and controversy to get attanetion. If she really wanted people to not pick on her she would not have called in to the show to bitch out Fran. If she had any class at all for starters she would not start crap and second she would not keep it going, she would take the high road and move on. I understand her wanting to voice her opinion and express her "View" but there are more diplomatic ways to go about it. I think if she maintained her composure when making arguments she would be taken more seriously because she does make good points on this N word issue but they are overshadowed by her bad attitude I used to admire Hasslebeck for being a strong woman but as time has gone by she has become nothing but a big disappointment to women everywhere by further perpetuating the stereotype that women are emotional, catty, and never shut up.
