Tom Cruise And Top Gun Sequel - No Ways Says Paramount

Yesterday, I posted the rumor claiming Tom Cruise was ready to reprise his role as Maverick for a Top Gun Sequel. This morning, Paramount put an end to that buzz saying there is no truth to the online reports.
Sorry “Top Gun” fans, it appears Tom Cruise returning to the franchise has not been cleared for take off.
Earlier this week, reports surfaced suggesting Cruise was in line to reprise his role as Maverick in the fighter jet film, 22 years after the original.
However, “Access Hollywood” has confirmed those reports are false.

Studios, directors and producers just don't want to deal with his Scientolocult crap on the set. He has "information booths/tents" to pitch his so-called religion. I bet Katie Holmes feels pretty crappy right now after NOT being part of the new Batman ticket record. Tom-Tom hasn't had good luck choosing alternate roles for her.
Does he go to the stylist at Pro-Cuts that specializes in little boy cuts, or what?

That franchise is so cursed and her character is not Lois Lane and Mary Jane permanent for the franchise. Such a waste of time. Suri and family is more precious than a lady in peril thankless part.
The franchise is cursed? "The Dark Knight's domestic earnings currently stand at $203.7 million, in less than one week of release." So how exactly do I get on this cursed list? It sounds...diabolical.
Bring on Valkyrie and Tropic Thunder. Im psyched on Katie's tv comeback too and if I have the money and means I would fly to New York for her Arthur Miller play. I found this video at TDK AOL board and TomKat has many loving friends. Nice to see Kate's DC friends there for her and even Bale who is non social and aloof to most of his castmates supported Katie.

Looks like there's a use-by date for guys as well as women in Hollywood. That coupled with his association with Scientology makes him a risk the studio isn't prepared to take. Looks like Katie might become the main breadwinner soon. lol
seems a little like they were serious about the sequel and leaked the rumour to measure the public palatability of it...
