In this week’s Page Six Magazine, Actress Maria Bello – star of the upcoming summer blockbuster “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor” – is on the cover and full of surprises, both for fans and herself, as she talks about her son, a new romance and how her latest film role is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.

 
The 41-year-old says her turn in a big action blockbuster a childhood fantasy come true:

“When I got into acting, I told my dad my dream was to be Indiana Jones. He said, ‘Honey, you want to be the girl in Indiana Jones?’ And I said, ‘No, I want to be Indiana Jones!”  She also says she’s not afraid to play her age. “I never was. I’ve never been an ingénue. I like getting older.”

Maria opens up on age and family, talking candidly about her love for her 7-year-old son Jackson Blue (whom she had with former husband and screenwriter Dan McDermott) and her relationship with her beau of a year-and-a-half, Bryn Mooser, 28.

“I was always anti-marriage,” she admits. “I didn’t understand monogamy. I couldn’t figure out how that could last. And then I met Bryn and I started to understand the beauty of constancy and history and change and going on the roller coaster with someone – of having a partner in life.”

While Maria is content ultimately in a pair of broken in Levi’s, she also loves to indulge in classic fashion.  For her cover shoot, PSM dressed her in Chanel, Alice + Olivia, Monique Lhullier and Moschino.

 Her new favorite designer? The up-and-coming Brian Reyes, known for his use of color and texture, who’s quickly becoming a go-to guy for red carpet fashion.

“I will definitely be checking out his collections, now!” she says.
