Twilight Intro At Comic Con Left Non-Fans Crying For Mercy

Before the cast could make it on stage, the room erupted with female squeals and screams during the Twilight intro at Comic Con in San Diego yesterday afternoon. It was mind numbing says every paper I've read this morning. Even the actors themselves had to take a step back to understand what was going on. This is going to be the new Harry Potter it seems. Everyone is just looking for a book series to hold onto these days. Bella and Edward seem to be filling that void with no problem at all.

We have 6 more months of this, as the movie isn't set to debut until December. I don't mind since I am a fan (although I would like to sit down with the casting director and give 'em a mouthful).

I'm ready for August 1st as I have finished what is available to the public in a week's time.

For those of you interested, here are some videos from Comic Con with Robert Pattinson. To see the trailer  and a sneak peek at one of the big fight scenes in the movie, click here.

One more video under the cut. Click on the continue reading link to see it.

Ya know, When I first heard who they had signed on to star in the movie I was really upset because I didn't think any of the actors fit the roles at all but the more and more I started seeing of them I began to change my mind. I think Robert is going to be great as Edward and Kristen should be a good Bella. I still don't know about the rest of the Cullen family, though. All of the actors look fake in those roles.

Who don't you like that they casted? Just curious- personally that Cedric Diggory guy who is playing Edward isn't quite as breathtakingly perfectly gorgeous like Stephenie Meyer describes in her books. At least not for me. I guess he's a good choice for a vampire- but not a stunningly perfect one. Sigh, I love Edward. Haha. I like the girl that they chose for Bella, but she just looks so young and it makes me a little sad. Haha. I mean I'm only 20 and I feel like it should have been somebody a little older looking, maybe? Haha..Is it just me?

Yeah, I'm not thrilled to pieces about the choices. And I'm annoyed at certain ones - like who they cast as Rosalie -she's supposed to be painfully beautiful and from the photos..the actress looks very average. I hate to sound so shallow but you get these images in your head and they may be hard to live up to but UGH! I know the movies are just INTERPRETATIONS of books but I have a hard time with it.

The two stars are young and they seem a bit surprised to even be there. Their interviews are almost painful to watch (stop doing that with your hair, Rob!). Entertainment Weekly posted a great interview on their site this morning with Stephenie Meyer at Comi Con. http://www.ew.com/ew/video/festivals?lineupId=1683773559&videoId=1688292813

greetings from san diego! i was one of the twi-hards at comic-con yesterday, and rob is right... it was pandemonium and the entire cast was clearly very stunned by the whol situation! it was absoultely nuts, they could barely get a word out, seeing as everytime any of them tried to speak the twi-tweens would start screaming bloody murder. i almost felt bad for them, but it was all in good fun. so excited for the movie, and i think the cast is going to do a great job!

i think the casting is really good. i wasn't too sure about rosalie at first because she is supposed to be blonde and nikki reed has dark brown hair and a pretty dark complexion. but seeing her with make-up on, i think she too fits her character pretty well. also i think the two main characters sometimes being so shy and embarrassed in interviews only make them seem human and normal...

AGH! I was there and saw them at Comic Con! It was insanity and the actors were clearly taken aback by it. They are all so young and awkward- clearly not comfortable with the whole interview process nor the hordes of screaming fans. I also got to meet Cam Gigandet at a cafe afterwards! He is incredibly GORGEOUS and nice! Although, he seemed a bit weirded out by the attention and like he just wanted to go unnoticed as he sat smoking and reading a book! Haha he won't go unnoticed for much longer! P.S, he has the most beautiful, blue-est eyes I have ever seen in my life and an amazingly fit body (though kind of short).
