Jennifer Lopez Doing Triathalon

Jennifer Lopez Doing Triathalon

Jennifer Lopez is one of those people that does everything all the way. She gets pregnant...she has twins, she wants to get back in shape...she does a triathalon. Yes, you read that right. As if having a clothing line, being a singer/actress and a mother/wife weren't enough for J-Lo, she's decided she's going to run a triathalon! Her trainer said,

The workouts change daily, depending on the day, the time and the freedom,” he says. “She’s going to get it done because she wants to.”

She'll be doing the race in the fall. But he says, even a triathalon isn't enough to stress super-mom, J-Lo.

"She may be the most efficient multitasker I know. She literally has every aspect of her life in check,” he says. “She doesn’t have a nanny, a chef or a nutritionist. She makes time for the kids. Family comes first.”

I'll admit, I'm totally amazed.

I have such a hard time believing that she doesn't have a nanny, chef, etc. I just can't imagine that she would be able to do all of her business things, much less train for a triathalon. Who is with the kids when they are out and about?? You can't tell me they just have a 15 year old babysitter minding the twins while they go to dinner, etc.

I'll believe it when I see it.

I'm with the others. I don't believe for one second that she doesn't have help. I'm sure she has a nanny, a maid, a nutrionist, etc. I mean, is that guy telling me that J. Lo is scrubbing toilets, grocery shopping and cleaning baby vomit from the carpet all by herself? DOUBT IT!

She doesnt have a nanny or chef, because she is difficult to work with and the employees keep quiting after only a short time.

ha ha J.Lo and triathlon.
I imagine her winning Iron Man :P
oh please, does anybody believe this stuff?

Passerby Passerby said:

There are different lengths of triathlons. I bet she's doing the shortest one, a sprint. It's a .5mi swim, 12 mi bike, and 3 mi run. Not that hard.

Passerby Passerby said:

Some triathlons are pretty short, distance wise. Most people could be ready for them with a few months of training. I think it's great whenever anybody is active but it's not necessarily as huge of an accomplishment for a relatively fit person (not to mention with a trainer) as it may seem.

cut the B.S., she has a nanny! she's lying!

Wow... it is so amazing to me that people are always so negative when it comes to J.Lo, I think its great that she is running a triathalon (no matter how long or short) I know plenty of people, including myself, who can't do it. I'm sure they have people that they hire for temporary moments, like when they want to go out, they hire someone to babysit like most people do... but it is true that she does not have a nanny on her staff 24/7. I think when J.Lo got together with Marc Anthony she put her life really in order and focused on the things that were truly important to her like family. She has been trying for so long to have babies does it really surprise you that she not want to have a nanny all the time? I believe it! I think she is an AMAZING woman, a savvy business woman and looks like a loving and hands-on mom. She have her moments of DIVA or FAB-NESS but she also seems like the kind of person who does everything she puts her mind to. Go 'head J.Lo... keep being your superwoman self! She is an amazing Latina!!

Agreed, Ivy. Some people are balls-to-the-wall, all-or-nothing people. JLo strikes me as one of these people. Most overachieving superstars ARE really, really, really driven people, and draw their inspiration from bigger challenges, such as (in this case) a marathon or an Ironman competition. More power to her. I am a new mom, and let me tell you, any spare moment I have is spent on the couch with my Nintendo DS LOL

Passerby Passerby said:

I call BS on this one. Yes, she is driven and yes there are people who can multitask and get a lot done, more than average folks. I do think she's driven--HOWEVER--I also think she has hired help! Twins are an unbeliveable amount of work..to think she's making it out in order to train, rather than catch up on sleep..I don't buy it.

Sounds like a recipe for burn-out, if you ask me. You can't have it all forever. Something will give eventually.

I believe it. Lets face it, she has a HUGE house with a gym in it. Ok. So she can work out when the babies are sleeping, easily for a couple of hours with the baby monitor next to her. They wake up she tends to them, plays with them they go back to sleep or Marc takes them and she can cook. I mean its not so hard to believe. They are both rich and have the ability to not work so I am sure one of them is always home with the kids, tending to the house etc. I am sure her mom watches the kids when they go out or a friend whatever, I mean people do this shit everyday why does it shock people that someone rich and famous may want to be 'normal'. I mean she had a 'normal' childhood, made the same mistakes 'normal' people make in love etc. She is just more successful cuz she is more driven the the 'normal' person is. Let it be, she has money and money buys time and with time anything is possible. Its not rocket science.

Will this triathlon, if it really happens, be the same kind of thing the the Katie Holmes NYC marathon was, staged photo opportunity with husband and kid, and no one of the active participants really saw her along the way, much less the official cameras?

Passerby Passerby said:

Melissa -- how do you know that J-Ho's house has a gym? Have you been inside her house??

Ivy and JesseD: Are the two of you friends with J-Ho's publicist?? She's nothing but a has-been diva! This triathlon that she is ATTEMPTING to join is just one of her gimmicks to REMAIN in the limelight...

Every gimmick she's done goes nowhere. Her clothing line, her perfumes, and her restaurant are on a downward spiral. Her restaurant Madre's is now closed. Someone can find her perfumes, sunglasses and clothes at Ross or Marshalls for $15.00 or less. Her latest CD tanked and her last two movies went straight to DVDs. She also insisted on getting a percentage of what the photographer earned for the cover of the her twins on People magazine. She's in dire straights now.
