Another celebrity decided to chop it off all. This time, Kristin Kreuk decided to give a bit of an explaination on her personal blog to her fans. What do you think? Does it work on Kristin? And would you ever do it yourself?
---
So,
I am assuming there are a few of you who are wanting to
murder me at this precise moment… Now, deep breaths, it will grow back
at some point. And I think it is pretty darn cute.
For three years I have been wanting to cut my hair. It’s been long for about 15 bloody years. If I had not been working on a television series I would have cut it a while ago.
I suppose this is kind of an expression of freedom, haha. Us gals tend
to have so much tied up in hair. There is like this emotional
attachment to it, and it is apparently a REALLY big deal to cut it all
off…in one go. I had a plethora or offers to come with, to document,
and I just went in there on my own and Sarah (she is the key
hairstylist on Smallville, and is freakin rad) tied it in a ponytail
and sawed the sucker off…
And now I have short hair. It feels
really different. My head feels different. Washing my hair this morning
was by far the strangest experience I have had in a while… Like, there
is no hair there. And there was before. And now there isn’t. Really
weird. And yoga was fun with no hair. And I can feel the wind rush
through, and the sun hit the nape of my neck, and my head feels LIGHT.
I am experiencing the world in a new way. Really that is how I feel
about this new phase in my life.
Apart from my family,
Smallville is the longest relationship I have been in. 7+ years. And it
has now pretty much ended. The decisions I am making now are a
reflection of where I am in my 20’s. GBD is my primary commitment at
this point, as well as my relationships. I have got to admit that it is
really strange to not walk into that studio every week. But, there is a
whole world of new shizznat that I now have the opportunity to choose.
I can grab the proverbial hair goo of life and play… I told you all
last week. I am sappy.
Love,
Kristin
p.s. I have never used hair goo until now. I actually need to style my hair now. Oh, the possibilities….
ONTD
I have NO idea who this person is. (I guess she is from "Smallville"?) Trying to be nice, here... I don't think her hair length would make any difference in her attractiveness. That's all I'm sayin'....

That's a horrible hair cut. It look like a blind person cut her hair. It's all choppy and uneven.
AB, you took the words right outta my mouth, honey! WHO IS SHE?! This haircut is NOT flattering for the poor girl!
love her!!! but gotta say this haircut aint doin her any favors AT ALL!! shes butiful though, did yuz know shes half chinese, half dutch..if yuz were interested:)
Korean, not Chinese
Chinese... NOT Korean. Look it up.

Again with ONLY the Chinese? Half Chinese, HALF DUTCH! HALF DUTCH PEOPLE!!!!
sorry, just saw the first reply. my fault
if thats your real pic, you're kinda cute. keep up the good work.
ughh...Chinese not korean...get it right
That's Lana from Smallville, she's also in the upcoming Street Fighter movie. I think she's gorgeous no matter what but I agree it's not cut very well.

I think that just isn't a very flattering picture of her. I've seen others and I think she's very pretty. She's right though.. it's just hair. It shouldn't be a big deal.

I image googled her name because I didn't know who she was and wow, you should see her with long hair. She's absolutely beautiful. This must be a bad shot of her, though. The haircut is fug. She would have looked cuter had it been a little more long. Maybe chin length or a little longer. Right now it looks thinned out. Not good at all.

I wanna be nice but she looks HORRIBLE! People need to learn when you have long hair and it looks good DONT SCREW WITH IT!!
i think she could rock that cut, when she learns how to style it...i bet with the bangs down it's cute? I saw it in someone else's comment up there...i had NO idea who the heck she was, i didn't really care to read the rest of the story but i scanned it, and yea - Smallville. I have only ever seen one or two episodes, and I just don't recognize her at all.

She is actually very pretty she looked better with long hair but whatever it is just hair.

I've had long and short hair through out my life and she's right...short hair you do have to style. Actually takes more work than long hair.
It's a bad photo, but I think the hair suits her! I am chopping all of mine off on Friday and I'm really nervous but have wanted to do it forever. I like Selma Blairs hair. My fingers are crossed that my face dosn't look huge and fat when there is no hair to cover it!!!

i don't mind the hair at all, mostly bc i looove the reason that she cut it. girls really do hold onto their hair for so long, and when you cut it short like that, you do feel totally liberated. she totally ruined it for me tho when she said "shizznat".
Kristin the primary reason I started watching Smallville. She left the show after last season. I'm thinking cutting off the hair is symbolic of starting over. It was also time for her to go as well, they had pretty much run out of things for Lana to do. I do hope we see her again in something soon.
I think she looks fantastic. What a beautiful little pixie-girl. Sounds like she's enjoying herself, too, so I say "more power to ya!" With those feautres this girl would look good bald.
She is beautiful but I think a little longer length would have made a big difference. She is right, it grows back. I love her eyes. Very pretty. My hair has started to grow long again, going today to get it cut. I went from lower back to shoulder in February (huge change) and I think I am ready to go to chin now. It is very liberating and a great way to show a new look on things.

I mean gf's not ugly but that haircut sucks. I've NEVER seen a cut like that and I think theres a reason. Bye girl bye-- Amber

That is tragic. Short boy cuts on women is just not for me. I don't know why you would do this except for not wanting to fool with long hair. That's a shame. Her hair cut looks awful. Her long hair was sexy. Her short hair is not.
Oh no she is such a pretty girl and she looks so weird with this cut. I think it's totally wrong for her. Well at least it will grow back
I JUST did this a little over a week ago. I ended up cutting 10 inches off, but I'm donating it to Locks-of-Love. And I love my new shorter 'do! I totally get what Kristin is saying here, I feel the same way. It's just a totally new experience and everything feels different. It took me a year to cut it, because I had to get my husband used to the idea. And yes, he thinks it's cute.....and that it will grow back!! LOL :-)

A. sad that you had to get your husband 'used' to you cutting off YOUR hair B. please google locks of love. they're super shady and probably will sell your hair to a weave company. they've only donated 2000 wigs to cancer/alopecia kids in the last 10 years and that's out of the 2000 ponytails of hair they recieve every single week. check out pantene's beautiful lengths campaign instead. they're much more honest and ethical.
Wow... I didn't know that! I just cut off 12 inches of my hair in February and donated it to Locks-of-Love because I didn't or have ever heard of any other place to donate it to. Thanks for the heads up but as of right now I'm ****!
