i am fulfilling my childhood dream and seeing them in concert in november. but i'm not into them making new music - they need to stick to the standards: cover girl, hangin tough, step by step, etc.

Ahhh, I was going to buy tickets to see them in concert too.. but I watched them perform live on Much Music at the Much Music Video Awards this year... and umm.. yea, I won't be forking out that much cash to hear them ruin the songs I love from them.
Don't get me wrong, I love them, but they can't pull off their old stuff anymore.. they are too grown up :(
they have had plenty of time to practice since then - you should give them a chance. if nothing else it was be a blast for nostalgic reasons

Im sorry to tell you that you deffinatly made a HUGE MISTAKE by not buying tickets to their reunion concert! And i do agree that their performance on MMVA's was not great.....
But, i origionally went to their concert just to go with my big sister because she bought 2 tickets and couldnt find someone to go with her, so i had to tag along, and all i knew of them was their song summertime, and single.
I've been to MANY concerts, and this was the BEST one i've ever been to! I came out of the concert i HUGE fan! I loved it so much, that i went AGAIN 2 days later, because they had 3 dates in toronto!
If you still have the chance to go, you must go! This concert was just AMAZING!

"Single" sounds very much like the music I hear on the radio nowadays! I love it! However, I'm pretty sure there is going to be criticism for it, be it regarding the collaboration, the lyrics, whatever. Ne-Yo is a great musician and so are the New Kids. This album is surely brilliant!

I'm LOVING this song. It's a different sound than Summertime, for sure, but they're both very much New Kids songs (they had as wide a range of music back in the day) and they're both great. I'll be listening to this one all the time just like I did Summertime! :)
Yeah it's quite different as Summertime but it's a great song as well! A new sound for their comeback and I love it!
I dont know why Shantelle think they ruined their old songs at the MMVA, I just think they did a perfect performance and cant stop listening and watching it!

For me, it didn't work. But I am really glad to hear that other people weren't turned off by it! :) Not to say I was turned off, but yea... that performance didn't do it for me.

I love the song. It is very current. No it does not sound like there old stuff and that is what i love about it. Don't get me wrong i love there old stuff, but just like there fans and there musical tast have changed so have the NK. Change is good, they need to be up with the times and the changeing waves of the music. Summertime is great becase is calles to the past and says "hey we remember you". But SINGLE says "hey lets have some fun today!"
I am not a Ne-yo fan and this song impressed me a bunch. I may be jumping on the Ne-yo train.

I think its awesome! Its still NKOTB, but they are doing music that is in now! I imagine if they release Hangin' Tough now it wouldnt be very popular, since its late 80's style of music. I LOVE IT! And I think its huge that after all this time stars like NeYo and Lady GaGa are working with them... That speaks VOLUMES about their talent!

*Single* is off the freakin' chain...it's fresh, edgy, gutsy and simply awesome! If you can't grind it out to that song, then there's totally something wrong..lol. Love NKOTB's old stuff, but I am so lovin' on their new stuff-awesome job guys. They gotta broad range of sounds/styles and are great showmen, love Summertime (fresh), but this one, *Single*, its the one fellas.
Shout out on *Single*--killer grind, Ne-Yo's sounds great, I can hear Joey Mac (his voice has really developed..awesome), Donnie is hot as h** on there and I can def. hear Jordan's falsetto on the harmonies--lots great stuff on there--awesome. Its a killer ya'll---watch out for *Single*--go hear it--it's HOT.

Single is hot! Summertime was something to help us rekindle our love for NKOTB but Single is today and fits with the music of today. The guys have really done it this time and the world better get ready to watch out! :)
