Jessica Simpson wants the world to know that her father is NOT involved in her relationships with men. He just wants her to be happy.
That’s ludicrous. He just wants me to be happy. Our whole family gets beaten, but that just brings us closer. So people are really doing themselves a disservice. So many people want to bring me down, and I can’t wait to prove them wrong. If they believe what they read about me, they automatically persecute and torment me."
What do you think? Is Jessica protecting her father's image? I mean, what else would she say? "Yes, he's ruining my life! I hate him?' Not probable.

i`m sure he was a real dreamy father .............barf ,sure i don`t know him and wouln`t want to anyway but i could never see him in pictures and find something lovely about him he kinda of always given goosebumps ....
And even if he is, what's your problem with that???? I just think a lot of people just wants to bring this girl down. I believe what she says.

You know...I have no relationship with my father...so maybe her dad is a little too involved in her life. But at least the girl has a father. And one that seems to really care about her and her happiness. Joe really seems to care about his family, and only want whats best for them, and for them to live out their dreams. People just need a reason to bash on someone, and poor Joe has to take the hit for the whole family. I love the Simpsons.

Her dad is a pervert. I also don't believe a single word that comes out of that man's mouth. He should just shut the he&& up and go away.
I really do not understand why people are hard on her. There is Hulk Hogan giving his daughter a rub-down and its barely news. her father does what he can to protect his daughter and he is literally prosecuted. I agree she should stop talking about ehr personal life but at the same time, if I was a celebrity reading lie after lie printed, I would too.
Her statement made me laugh. She doesn't want to be known as the dumb blonde now and wants to be taken seriously as a country singer. Somehow she thinks her admitting to being in an abusive relationship will make her association with country music more believable. I can't want to hear what she has to say next. Her use of the word "disservice" surprised me. That is a big word for her vocabulary. Tony must of taught her that one.

I don't think the press does prosecute her anymore. She's a has-been. Except when she opens her mouth to invite discussion about her family or wears attention seeking tshirts out in public does anyone every have anything to do with her in the press. Move on, Jessica, you aren't America's sweetheart.
I love it when people comment as if they know them personally. Who else really knows whether Joe is a good father to Jessica or not? It's crazy to me that Jessica's view of HER father is immediately shot down from some of you... you're basically saying, "LIAR!" As if you know! You have all bought into what media wants you to believe: Joe's a pervert, too involved and self-consumed; Jessica is dumb. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not - but at least admit that you'll never know. When your beliefs are created from assumptions, you appear to be really close-minded. Of course she would defend her father.....as she should! As for the Simpson clan in general...........all has-beens - especially Jessica - totally NOT talented. As for her own personal statement recently about how God gave her this voice to use.............well, duh.........He blessed all of us with a voice. That certainly doesn't mean it's a good one for singing.........lol. I totally agree with "so what"'s comment above....we certainly do NOT know her personally, but the fact remains she's a cute girl with big boobs, blonde hair and NO TALENT!!!!!
