Missy Elliott Wants To Adopt

Missy Elliott wants children but isn't prepared to deal with the pain associated with birth. I would tell her about the epidural, but we all know that those bad boys don't always work. With my first child, my legs were numb during the birth which I suppose would be helpful if my daughter came out of my knee! :)
The performer says she much rather adopt.
"I most definitely want kids, but I’ll probably adopt kids. I don’t know if I can take that kind of pain (of labour). Maybe in the year 2020 you could just pop a baby out and it’d be fine. But right now I’d rather just adopt."

it`s not giving birth that is painful it`s when right after the epidural doesn`t numb anymore ....goshhhhhhh that is when the real pain begins but giving birth for me was a great experience people shouldn`t be as scared as they are . anyway ....

I had my second baby with out an epidural - and it was not by choice, it wouldn't take, and I progressed a lot faster than my doctor thought I would. It was not as bad as I thought. It still hurt like he!! - but not like I thought it would. My baby was 8lbs 13oz. I feel that after you give birth and the whole "healing" process the next couple of days, hurts a lot more. But that is just me.

AMEN MISSY. Please some of us just have no desire to have our vaginas ripped and tore up when there are MILLIONS of children who DESPERATELY need a home. In many ways most people who choose to have children are just being selfish, most people cant afford it but they do it anyway. Dont knock someone who knows what they are or are not capable of, she is going to give a VERY LUCKY child a wonderful life which is more then can be said for most people who give birth to kids. Women who have kids need to stop knocking women who choose not to, you are NOT a bigger or better person just cuz you gave birth to a child. Compassion and seeing the bigger picture is whats going on here and for a bunch of mothers you people sure as hell are lacking in those depts.
Adopting is wonderful but you shouldn't knock everyone who wants to have their own kids. That is not being selfish at all. If that was being selfish, then go lecture your parents for having you. Sure, people who can't afford it shouldn't be having children because a lot of them just get on welfare and abuse it. Having children is a person choice and if you're ready for it, then having them is fine. And when I am ready for kids, I want to have one of my own and adopt another one. I do agree with you about not thinking you're better because you gave birth. Adopting is a wonderful thing and people who do it are amazing because they take in a child who really needs the help.

AMEN - AMEN TO THE POSTER ABOVE !!! Having a biological baby does not make you a hero/heroine!
i like that she attributes the adopting to the pain of childbirth... not to the fact that she's a lesbian. am i the only one who remembers her dating eva-diva for while back in the day? totally not saying that lesbians cant have kids or anything, just that clearly the pain is not the reason for her not doing so.
Yes, adopting is a noble act--but she's clearly saying the reason she wants to adopt is because she's afraid of the pain of childbirth, not because she's altruistic. But I agree, since she is a lesbian, that's likely the reason if she's notinterested in having random sperm donor.
I really do think that that is an awfully selfish statement. She wants somebody else to go through the pain that she isn't prepared to go through herself?! My labour was terrible, but when I held my baby in my arms, after 37 hours, the pain is beyond worth it. You forget about the pain and realise that there is something much more important to focus on. I, personaly, felt extremely empowered aswell. I think that you must miss out on a lot when you adopt x

Don't blame your lack of true Godliness, understanding and compassion, on an entire race of people. Furthermore, who cares if she is a lesbian. That is her choice and her business. It has not been substantiated. Rumor and innuendo are not enough to "out" her to the world. Besides the woman simple made a comment that she doesn't want to go through the pain of childbirth.
Really what she means to say is that she is "not prepared to deal with the 'pain' of having a d--k inside of her" to initiate conception. I'm sure it would leave her psychologically scarred.

Hi i wish i could have kids i have tried ivf twice because thats all i could afford.Ivf is for the rich aleast i thinks so.My first ivf cycle i had a death in my family and the second cycle i had another death.My both cycles failed to produce a child so i guess god is trying to tell me that having a baby is not for me.Adoption would be the only way i can become a mother.So if missy wants to adopt i say more power to her.As soon as i can come up with the funds i will do the same.Im struggling right now but i guess looking forward to adopting a baby just could be the reward i need to bring back my womanhood.
you don't have to pay for an adopting you can adopt for free at an local a1gency.

Each of us are given one life and with that life the right to live any way we see fit. Who are you to judge how someone chooses to live that life. Some of you people need to wake up.
