Okay. I must concede that it IS kinda funny, but we all know she had to rehearse her script about 579283 times before the finished product was actually edited and completed. Paris doesn't vote. There's no WAY she cares about voting, or offshore drilling, or energy conservation. But is WAS pretty dumb and classless of McCain to use her image in his ad in a negative fashion when her parents donated thousands of dollars to his campaign. If I were them, I'd be furious, too. Oh, and I don't think that Obama has ever made a sex tape or smashed someone's car with an umbrella, so the comparisons between him, Britney and Paris were just a tad dumb to begin with. And it's pretty sad when you get absolutely dissed by Paris freakin' Hilton. Just sayin'.

Well, I suppose that subliminal message worked on you. Most of us can see right through it. But at least Obama isn't attacking innocent celebrity bystanders in his television ads.

Do you follow the news? Obama condemned Reverend Wright's remarks and has since separated himself from his former preacher. Also, it seems grossly unfair to judge a person based merely on the company he keeps, but I'd think that George Bush's Jesus-obsessed cronies are about a trillion times more disturbing than any loudmouthed preacher from Chicago. I'm way more weirded out by people talking about fire and brimstone and the Apocalpyse.

i am an obama enthusiast and fully intend to vote for him in november... yet i can think of at least 10 legit attack ads against obama that would have raised eyebrows / given the peeps "something to chew on" - unlike mccain's ad that has fully backfired on him. what the f is wrong with a politician attaining celebrity status? shouldn't we be celebrating the fact that people are paying so much attention to a presidential candidate?

I LOVED this! seriously - I am Canadian, but live right across the border from Detroit Michigan, so we get all American tv channels. I have seen the McCain ad, and think it is ridiculous. Obama isn't just a 'celebrity' - he's a politician just the same as McCain, only he's young enough to pursue other venues to get his message out - unlike McCain who is what? 71 years old and too old-fashioned to know how to market himself without attacking others. Paris did a great job with this video!

Well, if he DOESN'T have the final say, then that ALSO shows a remarkable lack of responsibility and interest in the messages he's spewing forth. You know that little voice-over at the end of each ad? Here it is, verbatim: "I'm John McCain, and I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE."
UM I THINK PARIS IS DOING MORE DAMAGE THEN GOOD! I MEAN WHO IS GONNA WANNA VOTE FOR SOMEONE SHE IS PROMOTING! THANKS FOR THE LAUGH!
McCain is trying to make people think he's hip . . . when he's so not. I agree, he's unable to run a campaign without attacking and mocking the other side. Frankly, I think we need fewer crazy conservatives *and* crazy liberals. I would like to see more normal, middle-of-the-road politicians ignoring party line and actually making some sense. Paris making fun of herself is a good thing, but I still don't like her.
