Britney Spears Returning To MTV!

Britney Spears met up with the new host of the VMA's, Russell Brand this past Tuesday to talk about the upcoming promo ad's she'll be doing for MTV. I guess even after the "eventful" performance from last year she's willing to brave it again to show people she's back to her old self. As of now she's just doing the promo ad's, but she is up for two VMA's and personally I think it would be fantastic if she performed again.

The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles on September 7, 2008 and will be hosted by British comedian Russell Brand.

absolutely. I love Britney. She's been through SO much the past two years. Her personal life has totally overshadowed her career and it was very very unfortunate. You could tell she wasn't ready to get back out there last year. She's shown SO much progress the past 7 months and it really honestly seems like she's back to the woman we all knew and loved. She's doing the right thing and keeping her personal life out of the limelight by not going out at all hours of the night and by not partying 24/7. I'm very happy and proud to see her get back to her old self. It was very upsetting to see such a downward spiral her life had become. Even if she doesn't perform, I'd love to see her at the show, but if she does perform, I guarantee she'll give a performance everyone will be talking about forever (and in a good way!). Good luck Britney!!
Yeah!! Go Britney---you are so healthy and classy. Since you lost custody of your kids, and your dad controls every move you make, you should be the same old Brit to your loser dumb-ass fans.

It'd be great if she could pull through. Her dad has been looking after her well so there's a good chance she pulled herself together and could fix her picture in public's eyes. Last year's VMA performance of Britney Spears was a disaster but she looked as though she didn't even try to make it good. Like she was thinking - whatever... Good luck to you, Brit ;)

Part of me would love to see her redo the Gimme More performance. I had total goosebumps when I heard the "It's Britney, B!#$%" and then performance went flat. :( But, I'd just love her to perform anything and just be ON FIRE like she once was. She's an amazing entertainer and I hope the last year has helped her get well so she can get back to it. :)
Leave Britney alone.
Personally, I could care less. I think her career is over. There are so many more talented people to focus on.
Like who? There is no industry. Britney is as good as i gets right now.
If her dad has been so great lately in making sure she's on the straight and narrow, where was he TEN YEARS AGO??? And monkey see, monkey do - so we can expect to hear crazy horror stories 15 years from now about her kids (estranged, I might add).
Yeah - her dad is a real peach. And the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...and more fruit analogies if you wish...

While it would be exciting to see her perform, perhaps she should take the night off and hold off on the televized performances until she has been on tour again and back into full swing... (just a thought) If I were her I would go and make an appearance as a nominee (and hopefully take home an award) and just have a good time being there (and possibly present an award if asked)

i dont think it's a good idea 4 her 2 jump back into the spotlight in her still very fragile condition...
better 4 her 2 take a full year off, THEN maybe consider making a comback, if this girl is really as sick as they say she is...then maybe taking it easy and slow is the best course of action...JMO
As much as I lover her, I don't think she should perform at this VMA, not just yet. She hasn't quite got her body back yet or her kids for that matter... Maybe next album?

i love britney forever, she shouldnt do it if shes not ready!! all her managers and thats should lay off till she is better than 100%! whats hte point in coming back half done? if you no what i mean, no matter what she does she is still my favourite person ever.
