Selma Blair sat down to talk about her upcoming project Kath & Kim, the American version of the hit Australian TV show and had some choice words about Americans. The actress insists our culture is too obsessed with celebrity. Who us? We are so NOT obsessed!
You don’t think there are some deluded Americans? Hey, how about all of us! "Everyone here is obsessed with tabloid celebrities and their lives and wanting to be like that, just like Kim.
"In America you have the people who watch the Lohans’ reality show and want to be like Dina and Ali Lohan and live in a house with a throne in it.
Everywhere! They’re just everywhere!"

Kath & Kim is a classic Australian show. The mere fact that Selma Blair is even CAST in the American version shows that the US just doesn't get it.
It will fail. Miserably. Then everyone who watches the Australian show will compare it to the crappy American version.
This irritates me.
Anyone who has never seen the Australian Kath & Kim, please watch this show before you see the crap American version.

I thought he said that it looks terrible. He was mad at Selma for being in it because he thinks it looks retarded. I've only seen one of his posts on it, though, so maybe I missed something. I think it looks funny, though, and I like Selma Blair.

I watch those shows and I know that I def dont want to be like them...so whatever thats just her opinion..
haha, exactly. Its just our curiousity to see how the other side lives. NOw if Selma Blair doesn't like that people are too celebrity obsessed, then she's gonna lose her fans. And, also she's probably just jealous she isn't a HUGE celebrity.
