Christian Bale To Be Cautioned

Christian Bale To Be Cautioned

Christian Bale
will receive just a caution after the arrest incident alleging he pushed his mother and his sister. All he has to do is plead guilty and they will charge him with that instead of something more serious.

"Bale will have to admit guilt to get a caution when he answers bail next month," the newspaper said.

"Cops can still charge him if he refuses."

Normally I am a little upset when celebrities get off easy, but in this case I have the feeling that justice was served. What do you think?

I think he should get a restraining order against his mom and sister. It sounded like they instigated the confrontation.

ditto... the sister wanted money to take care of her kids.

I agree with everything everyone else has said. I think his family sounds fishy and like they want something. And if they can't get it from him, they will rake in the rewards from the tabloids if they can.

There's an update out that Bale will infact not face any charges. This one isn't a case of celebrities getting off easy cos it seemed like a set up from the get go. Horrible timing for him which made it smell even worse. I don't think there'll be a big Bale Family Christmas for this year/decade.....

this is called the halo effect - we as humans irrationally believe that good traits cluster together. when a person is good looking, we are less likely to believe they are capable of wrong doing. in reality, none of us know anything about this case, and quite honestly we've only heard one side of the story. I dont know if justice is served, because I personally don't know what really went down. if somebody has more detail, please enlighten me.

I don't think it's a halo effect, i think people thinking the worst right off the bat have probably become so cynical regarding celebrity and justice and lack thereof. if you read the reporting on the case, which wasn't one sided as they had quotes from mum/sister, police and bale, and took into account the peculiar timing then you would have smelt something very fishy. That has proved to be the case, yet people are not wanting to believe him simply because he's the "celebrity" a side of his job that he absolutely does not court.

I find it very odd that his mother and sister went to the police straight away. Guess communication isn't their strongest point.

leave him and his personal life alone.

i dont think people really understand that the more we pry into the lives of celebrities, the less interesting they become. it makes it nearly impossible to continue enjoying the illusion of their characters, because we cant look past their realities.
