Isn't this a great week for celebrity blogging? First we had Brooke Hogan, then Lindsay Lohan and now Emmy Rossum. Here is what the singer / actress had to say about her upcoming ventures.

Hey guys!
I'm starting to work on the new album…
still trying to find the perfect "sound." Someone really smart told me
that you have to make records in order to find out what kinds of
records you should be making. I think that they put it pretty well.
It's a discovery process, kind of like an archaeological dig... the
perfect sound is there somewhere and just has to be uncovered. I've
been writing and recording with artists and producers in London,
Copenhagen and Los Angeles in the past few weeks. I'm pretty psyched
that I'm getting to write and collaborate with some of my favorite
artists. So you can "see" what I've been doing, I'm posting 2 new pics
of me in the studio. One is of me, goofing around, wearing sparkly
antenae at Matt Hales' studio in London. He's a great guy and we have a
lot of fun in the studio. I love Aqualung -- if you haven't heard
"Strange and Beautiful", iTunes it immediately, it will make your day
that much better. The black and white photo was taken here in LA in the
studio last week.
I have also been working with Susan G Komen
for the Cure and will have some exciting news about my specific
involvement with them pretty soon. I'll also be able to play you a song
I wrote for them, called "Why Oh Why".
It's a bit long, so click on the continue reading link to read the rest of the entry. Yes, that's her dog. Her name is Sugar. :)
Last
week, I went to the last EVER Police concert in NYC at Madison Square
Garden. It was pretty fantastic. I'm a huge Sting fan (Every Breath was
one of my favorite songs growing up) and it was awesome to see him
live. At the very end of show, before the encore, he took his shirt off
and a bunch of girls came on stage and shaved off his mountain man
beard. I suppose that was symbolic gesture to mark the end of the tour
. But whatever the reason, everyone just screamed even louder. I'm
posting a pic of Sting I took at the concert as they played their
encore. I saw a bunch friends at the concert too. In fact, Gerard Butler (my
co-star from Phantom of the Opera) was there and we had a great time,
sat next to each other and got to catch up. He's the best big brother
in the world, I'm posting a pic we snapped together.
One other
thing. I am posting a picture of taken of my puppy (Sugar) as I gave
him a bath, because I'm hopelessly in love with him.
All for now!
Lots of love
xx emmy
