Jennifer Love Hewitt Goes For A Walk
This photo set is confusing to me. Ross McCall is either smiling naturally or is sarcastically responding to something the paps are saying. The thumbs up in the last of the set makes me think the latter. Meanwhile, Jennifer Love Hewitt doesn't look thrilled to have the paparazzi following her around. She typically is very girly wearing the most adorable dresses and skirts one could find. But today, she was spotted in over-sized clothing and shades. You would never know about the 18 pound weight lossby looking at these shots. Perhaps, she wanted it that way.
I feel bad for Jennifer. She went through that whole ordeal with the bikini pictures and People Magazine and became the voice for millions of women who were not a size 0. That is a lot of pressure to live with!

She's such a hypocrite.
First she tells the world how happy she is at her weight and how every woman with curves should be proud, then she loses the extra 1weight and advertises the fact in a magazine.
Way to go...
Why didn't she just admit that she didn't like the extra poundage and was just waiting for the motivation to get really slim again?

I totally agree. There's nothing wrong with admitting that you don't like the weight you currently are. Why lie about it and then turn around and lose it all while still not admitting that she did this for herself. ???
I've heard it said that you do gain weight when coupled up and happy so perhaps that was the case and her man doesn't care about her size. But most girls do want to feel their best in that white dress. What was she supposed to say when confronted about what everyone thought about her body?? She seemed surprised by the attention. Good for her though, it gives me motivation since I have the same body type and struggle with staying at a comfortable weight. She was great in "Can't Hardly Wait".

I love her. :) Even if we are comfortable with our bodies, we all would like to be as fit as we can. I don't begrudge her. I agree with the above poster, the motivation is probably the wedding. :)
I think she looks great in these pictures.
Hang on. She didn't lose any weight. The picture in OK or wherever is taken from the side. Everyone looks skinny from the side. IM pretty sure photoshop was at work there. And in real life showing that off is slightly more difficult. And I felt like her rant when confronted with her weight was the only thing she could do to seem brave. Its unfortunate. She is super skinny on top but her hip and below area is not.. the same way as her top. Which is FINE. But I feel like she shouldn't proclaim she is a size 2, which isnt possible in hell with her lower region and work to that weight after the fact. Its hypocritical.
I think she looks good and it sounds like she is very comfortable with her body, no matter what size she is.... good for her. I must say though, that the human body shape does amaze me, and how we are all different. Like one woman can have quite skinny arms, but a larger lower body, or the other way around, small hips and bigger arms. I get mad about my weight sometimes (not being able to lost those last 5 lbs!) but I do feel my body is in porportion, thankfully....arms, hips, stomach, etc. So I guess I should be thankful for that. As long as someone is content and happy with whatever shape they are-- I'm happy for them!!!

she looks like she lost a little bit of weight, but definitely not 18 pounds. she wasn't fat before and she certainly isn't fat now. I hope she is happy now and maybe people will stop picking on her.
She's not asking for sympathy and you shouldn't feel bad for her. The only reason she would feel the pressure is if you address her weight in the manner that you did in the post. You could have left it at that and avoided the comment about her "oversized clothing" doing nothing to show her 18 pound weight gain. Your post is dramatically discussing her weight. It would be different if she was prancing around in a bikini at the beach post-OK mag, when in actuality she's obviously trying to have a low-key walk with her fiance.

Saintdevil, I completely agree! I was so proud of her for standing up to the media and expressing her comfort with her body and now she turns around and advertises her drastic weight loss when she was not even big to begin with at all. I am disappointed.

She looks the same as she did a few months ago to me. That photo on the cover of US was so photoshopped...it looked like her head was put on someone else's body...the head was even too big for the rest of the photo! She might have lost a few pounds, but nothing dramatic.

Well, she does have a small head to begin with. I think she looks a bit smaller in these photos, not that she was big in the infamous bikini pics AT ALL. She's wearing very baggy clothing here.

i'm from europe, so size 0 doesn't exist where i live. the minimum you find in a store (and not all) is a 32. Supposedly a size 0 is a 30. Don't tell me a woman having a child body is normal.
Well the designers keep shrinking the sizes compared to several decades ago. A size 0 today is really about a size 4-6 from yesteryear. But anyway I'm a size 0 and am not at all skinny, just small boned and petite. I have curves!

Well, if it corresponds to a size 4 I take back what I said; I fit into a size 4. As for petite, I have a friend that fits into kids clothing, she's 1.53m & 40kg ^^ I'd love to be petite (not that petite, but something like rachel bilson)

I like JLV and love her in Ghost Whisperer, but the girl has issues. I'm sorry, but being relentlessly photographed by the paps is part of the game. If you can't take the heat, then get outta the kitchen. Seriously, how big a deal is it to just SMILE for the camera? I'd much rather have people say that at least I always look like a happy camper, than a sour puss crybaby all the time. Those celebrities need to give their heads a shake.
And regarding those chubby bikini pics and her now drastic weight loss. I'm disappointed, also. In the first place she should NEVER have addressed those photos, drawing the exact attention she didn't want, to them. And this weight loss, how obvious can it get? Of course she lost the weight because of the bikini fiasco.
She's a beautiful girl who didn't fit the Hollywood stepford mold. She needs to work on her lack of self esteem and not give a damn anymore...like she says she doesn't.

At first glance I thought she was Kate Beckinsale (sp?).
I used to think that, too (that celebs should grin and bear it, it's part of the package being photographed). Then I saw TV shows, depicting how the photographers don't just silently snap away.......they are usually yellling out insults to rile the celebs up and get a good picture. I can imagine them calling out to Jennifer that she's still fat, etc. Can you imagine trying to go for a walk, all the while being insulted and yelled at? Especially the ones with kids? It would be awful, and I don't believe anymore that it should be "part of the deal".
On the contrary. It's not "part of the DEAL", it's THE GAME and all celebrities are aware of that. And furthermore, if JLH really didn't want her pic taken, she knows where the paps will show up and can go elsewhere. Why do you think there's so many celebrities we haven't seen in eons. They CHOOSE not to be caught by the paps. I notice JLH always looks pretty happy to have her pic taken when she's all dolled up on a set somewhere or is having a good hair day. If she's going to persist in showing up at places where she know that the paps know she'll be, then be camera ready and smile. It's that simple.
So you'd be ok with having people hurl insults at you day and night, anytime you wanted to be out in public alone or with family? I doubt it. Abuse is NOT "part of the game".
I am actually totally shocked that you guys don't see the weight loss. Clearly she has baggy jeans on that are not highlighting her lower body loss (though I still think she looks cute and comfy in them). But I ABSOLUTELY see it in her face/upper-body. She's always been smaller on top, but in the "infamous" pics, she looked chubbier even up top than she always had. These look nothing like that IMHO.
And good for her if she's trying to be healthy. What in the world would you expect her to say when called fat? And crucify her for losing after what she said? Shameful.

As far as 'lying' about being comfortable with what was an overweight body, I think that's a pretty normal reaction. First we get defensive, THEN we get realistic. She needed to lose a few pounds, and that's a harsh reality to accept--especially RIGHT after critical comments have been posted all over the internet and in magazines alongside unflattering pictures of your body. Just my two cents.
I work in a very exclusive clothing boutique, and I can tell you that Jennifer Hewitt was not a size 2 when she claimed it earlier this year. I do this all day long, and I can pretty much tell you what size a woman wears by looking at her. There is no way with boobs that big that she could have gotten into a size two designer top or dress, and she is pear-shaped, so there's no way she could have worn a size 2 on the bottom, either. This is not meant to sound critical. It's a fact. And if celebs would quit lying about how much they weigh (hello, Oprah? Rosie?) and what size they really are, maybe American women would feel better about themselves.
I agree with above. There is no way Jennifer was a size 2 with such full breasts. I know because I have a similar chest.
Overall, I feel sorry for Jennifer.
