Love It Or Hate It: Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul was photographed arriving to the "2008 ALMA Awards" in a very interesting black gothic-ish necklace which she paired with a mermaid cut black and hot pink dress. I love when people take fashion risks, but I admit I'm a tad bit speechless on this one. What do you think of Paula's entire look?

Maybe if she didn’t have a chandelier draped around her neck.

I don't mind the necklace. It's a statement piece for sure, but a celeb can pull it off. The dress is tragic. If it stopped at the ruffles, being a short black dress, the necklace would have been a perfect choice...a statement piece with a simple dress. I don't know who designed it, but the fuschia ruffles are all kinds of wrong! It reminds me of a bridesmaid dress I wore in 1989.

Embracing her inner flamgingo (spelling?) dancer perhaps. The necklace with a LBD would be ok, but that is all just too over the top. I had a doll like that from Spain, with the huge eyes, and the castanets, she looks just like it.

The dress is cute. Paula still looks cute. Together... they just don't mesh.

When I first saw the picture, it reminded of of an 1800's saloon dancer.

Is it me or does her head look H-U-G-E? I agree with the others the necklace is a bold fashion statement, but it would have looked great w/o looking like she stepped on a flamingo with spiked heels and it exploded all over the lower portion of her body.

I agree that her head looks HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!

Paula & Mariah Carey are two older women who try and dress much younger than their age. She is a fashion train wreck! ugh

If it were just a black tube without the hot pink mermaid ruffles it would have made a very nice statement and been age appropriate for her. That is just cruelty for the rest of the viewing audience the way it is

She's too short to pull it off. A dress like that requires height, and not just from a good pair of heels. Someone over 5'7" AND heels and then we are talking.

I'm actually kind of torn, the necklace definitely needs to go! but the dress is actually kind of fun and the upper portion really flatters her figure, I still can't really make a descision on the bottom portion...however this outfit is much better than many others I've seen on her in the past.

She should of left the dress all black minus the ruffles and keep it tight, the necklace is awesome. She's on fucking major medications what do you expect from this junkie whore?

When scrolling down to the Love it or Hat it post, the only thing I first saw was the black part of the dress, and I thought: "What the heck is wrong with that?". Then I scrolled further down, and I knew... No question anymore of love or hate, it's plain obvious :-)

I'm not surprised by Paula's dress choice, she never had any fashion sense.

Paula does have a rockin body but, Maybe if the dress was solid black it would look better on her. The hair, the necklace, the hot pink ruffles . . . Too Much Paula!
