Colin Firth Filming Dorian Gray

One of my favorite romantic leads... Colin Firth! What a treat! We rarely get to see this actor on the streets running errands. He has truly mastered the art of keeping his private life... well, private.
Colin is working on a new movie, Dorian Gray with Ben Barnes. Here they are outside Cafe de Paris in London, England working on a scene.
A corrupt young man somehow keeps his youthful beauty eternally, but a special painting gradually reveals his inner ugliness to all.
Am I the only person whose heart is stolen by Colin every time he hits the big screen?

OMGoodness!!! He's my one and only top notch Hollywood hottie! Just last night I finished watching him in the movie Circle of Friends (I know...SO RANDOM!) and even though he's a total POOP in it---- he still is SOOOOOO HOT!! Your site rocks, Vera!- just thought you should know that!

Oh you are definitely not alone Vera. I just swooned when I saw his picture. I love most of the characters he plays... my least favorite though was in Shakespeare in Love. Anyway.... I am DEFINITELY going to keep an eye out for this new movie. ^_~

oh and 'heart stolen' is a very weak phrase. i'd add... hypnotized, stuck, chocked, anything that means you cant think nor move nor speak nor breathe for the next couple months after you saw him in Love Actually... he must be the most charming man ever. he'll never be too old.
Ben Barnes is the hotness! I'm glad he has some one like Colin to take him under his wing.

I met him yesterday filming Dorian Gray - in his velvet tail suit and waistcoat, and not only was he gut-meltingly gorgeous, he was also a complete sweetheart, and happily obliged me a photo with him, despite my interrupting a conversation he was having with one of the other actors.
I've loved this man for over a decade now, and to finally meet him and have him confirm that he is indeed a gentleman and a scholar was such a delight.

You met him in person and got a photo?? Ohhhhh!!!!!!!!! My Gawd!!!! I'd still be high on that encounter! LOL! He was fantastic in Mama Mia, especially dressed up singing when the credits were starting to roll. I rolled too, with laughter!
Loved him in Valmont; hated his adulterous character in Fourplay; relieved Vermeer didn't cross the line, in Girl With A Pearl Earring; thought his character was psycho, in Trauma; loved him as Fitzwilliam Darcy, but even better, as Mark Darcy; & adored him in both The Importance of Being Earnest, & in Last Legion.
We, none of us, can actually "love" Colin Firth, for we do not know him, to love him. Only a select few have done so, the most enduring of which is Livia Guiggioli, & accept it, y'all: that abiding love has produced two offspring, AND, that abiding love is mutual. We merely "fall in love with" the characters he portrays, in whatever film is in theaters, or in our DVD/VHS collections.
I admire him as an actor, as a horseman, as a swordsman (broad sword, as well as rapier), & as a singer. (He sings in other movies besides Mama Mia!).
Sigh. What a lovely photo! He's even hot with facial hair!
