Gwen Stefani Will Give Birth On Thursday

Gwen Stefani is all prepared to give birth on Thursday morning. Her c-section is scheduled for 10am at Cedars-Sinai. Of course the press won't let her just enjoy this time with her baby, they have to talk about how she wants to lose weight too.
"Gwen's so excited to have this baby because she gained a lot of weight during this pregnancy," her pal reveals to In Touch. "She is ready to meet her new baby and get her body back."
Of course, I am sympathetic to trying to lose the baby weight and being anxious to take those pounds off...but meeting your child for the first time and getting your body back are NOT in the same category!!!!

Amen! Meeting & bonding with your new baby is far, far more important than losing baby weight. One is a spiritual event, and the other is simply physical.

I am so excited about this news. I can't wait to see what they have and what they name the baby.

I was just reading a book the other day about 4th trimesters and how that would probably be the answer to newborn crying. Anyway it seems like Gwen is her 4th trimester.
Oh, I don't know. I gave birth to my last one, my fourth, almost 3 years ago, and while it was magical and unbelievable, I was also really REALLY ready to have my body back and I dreamed of my treadmill and weights! Doesn't mean I don't love my kids more than anything.
I wasn't concern about losing weight when I had both my children....it just melted off easily without even trying. Just bond with your child and stop worrying what other people will think of you.
Lucky girl....i literally worked my ass off to lose the baby weight and am still working on toning up my abs. I was healthy throughout my pregnancy and did not use it as an excuse to stuff myself silly. I ate well balanced meals and stayed away from junk. I did have a 10 pound baby boy though so my belly got fairly big. I envy girls like you!!!!
Unfortunately, not everyone is as lucky as you, and we do have to work at it. It's not really a matter of what other people think of you. Yes, I am very excited to have this child and can't wait to meet him (I am 36 wks and 1 day), but I have not really been able to work out this pregnancy because of pain issues and I can't wait to start again. I went from working out 5 days a week to none...that does a number on your body and I want it back just as much as I want to meet my baby boy.
BUT...I am doing it for me, not anyone else.
I don't beleive this story. Gwen seems too much in love with Kingston and naturally the new baby to be that concerned about her wieght. Sure she will want to loose it, because of the business she is in, but I hardly think it is at the top of her list at the moment.

More than likely she's thinking; I can't wait to be able to sleep relatively comfortably again, and be able to pull socks out of the dryer, and not have a built in shelf, and not spill food all over myself, and not have sausage toes, and have my body back.
It's not always about being "fat" it's about something completely taking over your body.
or maybe that was just me ;)
