Jessica Simpson Calls Tony Romo The Love Of Her Life
I'm so happy for her! Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo really seem to be on the path to happiness. In a recent interview with People magazine Jessica admits that things are very serious between the two, when she calls him the "love of her life."
"I just told him today, 'You're the love of my life.' I don't really ever say that to anybody."
And Jessica even cut off all ties to her past for him because she's so happy with the present. She changed her email address and cell phone number!
"I don't want anybody that's been in my life [before] in my life
anymore," she says. "I don't even want them to have any way of
contacting me."
After the relationship with John Mayer Jessica had to build herself back up.
"I had to regain self-esteem and self-value."
And when it comes to love Jessica gives her full heart and soul.
"I just love, so I don't understand when people can't do exactly what I do."

Yes, I'm rooting for them. I think Jessica has a good heart, she seems to be a sweet person. I do wish her happiness. I'm not sure how Romo feels about it all, though.

I worry about this girl. She seems like she jumps in with both feet, when she still needs to tread lightly. Hopefully things will work out for her but she needs to keep her personal life personal.
There is just something about these two that does not bode well... Jessica speaks about their relationship in the press too much, and reveals intimate details that she shouldn't. It comes across as needy, clingy, and insecure.
Granted, I'm very surprised they've lasted this long...

I agree wholeheartedly w/ you, Frank. I'm rooting for them, but she just likes to open her big mouth, where he seems like he likes to keep things quiet. He likes to be seen, for sure, but not heard as much, I think.

Jessica suffers from TMI. You just don't go blabbing about stuff like that to the tabloids. It makes her sound even more desperate. Tony is probably the biggest laughing stock in the NFL. She acts like she is still in high school.

I am rooting for them. Doesn't it sound like John Mayer has a really bad effect on all these girls he dates? Sketchy. Anyhoo, yes she talks to the press a bit much about her and Tony's feelings but whatever-they're in love. Sometimes you are just too excited to contain how in love you are!
Wait a minute. On other posts, everyone says the tabloids make stuff up, lie, etc. (which is true). But you're all taking this about her as 100% true? Who knows if she's really said any of this.

UGH, I wish she would go away. I don't think there is anything about her that is real. I also believe Tony is the laughing stock of the NFL. She isn't even high school, jr high is more like it. Trying to get pregnant to trap her man too. Tsk tsk tsk. Jealous of her sister in that respect.

I'm not sure if I believe that the quote about regaining her self esteem is in regard to the end of the relationship with John Mayer. She's made statements before about him HELPING her find herself, etc. then again, this whole thing could be made up. LOL
What about the episode from Newlyweds where she & Nick are deciding where to go for dinner...and they debate for like 2 minutes about Tony Roma's?! I know it's a play on words... but to watch that now is just too funny!!!!!!!!!!!!
The guy should love the girl more than the girl loves the guy. Otherwise it won't last. That's why Jessica and Tony are doomed. She should have stayed with Nick.

100% not believing that this couple is for good. I think she is trying to make herself believe that she's in love. Why would she need to cut all ties to her past 'for him'? Is he insecure? Does she speak of her past too often, signaling a possible mistake she made by moving on from Nick. The fact that she says 'Tony is the love of my life and I don't say that to many people'-I find fake. I find everything about their relationship forced. I think she needs to find a way to somehow stay in the spotlight... bad movies, bad career choices, bad outfits, bad relationships & bad songs.

I'm so embarrassed for her. This girl wears her heart on her sleeve and it keeps getting broken. She needs to keep quiet and focus on her career.

I highly doubt she never told her ex husband that he "was the love of her life"..and as far as all I do "is just love"..didn't she do a little too much "loving" on the set of Dukes of Hazzard and that's what ultimately ended her marriage? I'm on Team Nick and Vanessa on this one..

I just read on People.com the other day that Vanessa Minillo said Nick Lachey said he loved her first. It couldnt be better timing for Jessica to come out to tell EVERYONE, remember me...I'm in LOVE too. I think she is a fool for putting herself out there like this and an even bigger fool for leaving Nick. I really feel bad for her, hoperfully this one will go different for her.

Good point, Selena...but I just find it odd that she's "changed all her numbers so no one from her past can contact her" - she probably did that thinking Tony would too but he didn't! OMG, can she just go away? I mean, really!? What is she adding or contributing to the world. She sounds like she is just out there trying to drum up publicity for herself and going about it all wrong!

I think she is a genuinely sweet girl, but I agree with Tinkerbell, she really goes all in. Tony hasn't changed his number to avoid his exes (think a certain Carrie). Jessica is okay with that, but does Jessica have blinders on? I would hate to see her heart crushed.

Isn't it funny how when John Mayer was still dating Jennifer Aniston Jessica said he's an amazing person and all and now that they broke up and John looks so depressed right now she trashes him. Talking about hitting a person who's already down. It's all for publicity.

Ok... so I know I have heard Jessica tell Nick Lachey on "The Newly Weds" that he was the love of her life. And changing her numbers? She probably did that so Tony would jump on the band wagon and do the same. Seems Jessica is still a little worried about Carrie...
