David Duchovny Enters Into Rehab!

Uh-oh. David Duchonvy has voluntarily entered into rehab for a sex addiction. As most of you know, David has two children with wife of 10 years Tea Leoni. David released this statement yesterday:
"I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction," the actor said in a statement on Thursday. "I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."
Well for his families sake I hope he gets better. I know there are always rumors in Hollywood, but I really didn't see that one coming. And isn't it crazy how he PLAYS a sex addict on Californication? Art imitating life imitating art?

I'm assuming they figured the paps would have found out anyways so they just released a statement. I'm not even sure what that is, like addicted to porn?
If you think about it, 90% of his roles have involved him being in therapy, obsessed with porn, or addicted to sex. And many of his interviews (and his wife's) are about his sex life. I don't know what's about to come out but the s*** is about to hit the fan. Didn't Gillian Anderson get pregnant on the set of their new movie? *boink*

Whoa, crazy! I agree that there must have been a "caught in the act" moment to get him to enter rehab. If it turns out to be research for a role or publicity stunt then that is the most rediculous scheme I have heard about in a while.
Hes been cheating on his wife for YEARS, remember all those blind items about someone whos summer movie flopped is fuckin their tennis instructor?!? Well here you have it, when you get caught cheating just say you have a sex addiction. Lame.

Boy, this has come out of left field for me. I love him, The X-Files is one of my favorite shows of all time, and now I also love Californication. I had never heard rumors of him cheating on his wife, but I would have to assume that being a sex addict and being faithful do not go hand in hand. I do think that issuing a first hand statement about it is the right thing to do, before the press gets a hold of it and rumors spread. This is too bad, I hope he is successful is getting better, although I have no idea what the treatment for this kind of addiction is, I know recovering alcoholics can never have a drink again.....Anyhow, good luck to him and his family.

I think something even more damaging to his career is about to leak. Otherwise why would he have made such an announcement? Have there been any really bad BI's out there that could have applied to him? He is not a country singer so I guess that rules out owning 30% of overseas brothels. I have been hearing for the past couple of years that he cheats on Tea.

I'm glad he came out and said it, instead of waiting for the gossip to run rampant (which it still will..but). I love Tea and I hope he gets help. :)
He hasn't been in the spotlight for years. If he'd kept his mouth shut, no one would have found out.

This is NOT shocking at ALL!! Their have been rumors about him for years about screwing around on his wife. Sooo so many blinds are about him and his sexual antics.

I hope that he can take care of his issues....but isn't it a little convenient for him to be coming out with this when his new movie (X-Files) is set to be released soon.

Now I know why he did Red Shoe Diaries! -- I always thought that was random of him. He must've had this addiction for years.
Hope rehab works for him. It must be devastating for his family. May they all work together and get thru this.
