Jeremy Piven was photographed out shopping in Beverly Hills yesterday by himself looking pretty darn good. I admit I’ve always kind of liked him, but thought he was one of those extremely short men in Hollywood. I was surprised to find out (google) that he’s actually 5’9". Has anyone met him in person? Is he really that tall? For some reason I always assumed he was Tom Cruise’s size.

I swear to god, I am not BSing you Vera… my sister used to date him, and he took her and I out to dinner in Santa Monica one night. A) He’s kind of a douchebag (I could tell that he thought I should be fawning all over him because he’s a *celebrity*, and I just wanted to know if he was treating my sister right… yeah, shock, he wasn’t), and B) I have a VERY hard time with 5’9″. I’m 5’8″ and I freaking towered over the man. In all fairness, I was wearing heels, but still… 5’9″ just ain’t so.

That’s not tall for a guy. Plus men always always say they are taller than they really are. He’s about 5’7″.

Even if he was 5″9 (and when it is under 6′ they are all lying and adding for their lifts) that is still short! Said the 5’10 girl. lol ok, but isn’t 5’9 still massively limiting for female costars? My hubby is 5’9″ and its not that tall. I’m 5’4″ and with heels? We are the same height. It’s pretty cute.

Yes, ive met him, and gone to his lovely house. He is a nice but distant person. Very relaxing atomosphere over there. ANyhow, I dont remember him being 5’9″. Maybe 5’8″ but not 5’9″. I could be wrong though.

IMDB is frequently wrong about heights. I believe that they list Johnny Knoxville as being 6’1, but I am 5″8 and I was standing next to him at a concert at the Knitting Factory in NYC and he couldn’t have been more than 5’10. I was wearing 1 inch heals and he was barely taller than I was, which was suprising since he always seems so tall in movies!
