Tom Cruise Can't Understand Issues With Valkyrie
Tom Cruise cannot understand why his movie Valkyrie has attracted so much criticism - because it’s such an "important" story.
The actor insists the movie - which tells the true story of a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler during World War II - will be a box office hit after wowing audiences at a test screening earlier this month.
"It (the criticism) just doesn’t make sense to me either. The moment I read the screenplay I knew it was an important story, and as it’s a true tale of heroic resistance to one of the great villains of history, I can’t imagine that people won’t want to see it."
Valkyrie, starring Cruise alongside actors Kenneth Branagh, Terence Stamp, and comedian Eddie Izzard, is due to hit U.S. cinemas on 26 December.

i think the movie sounds good. i think tom cruise, all scientology criticism aside, is an amazing actor. he was does seem to take a lot of consideration and respect in his roles. i'm probably going to get flamed for this, but whatever.
I don't care if he is a scientologist and short....he still is an amazing actor!

While this is an important story, it is important enough without Cruise's interference, who, aside from his Sciento-craziness, demonstrated in interviews that he knows nothing about WW II, much less about what went down in Germany. This is one thing I can do without - Branagh, Izzard, Fry, or not.

You said it all. The story *is* an important one, but with Cruise attached, it makes me doubt whether it will be told accurately, and I just flat don't like him anymore. He is not a good enough actor to successfully engage our "suspension of disbelief". He has made too much of an ass of himself, and that is all I can think of when I see him. His cult is scary and dangerous, just like Hitler! Kind of ironic!
What doesn't he understand - that people don't want to see him anymore?
Sorry, tom. It's not the movie. It's you. You're old and rediculously short. You'd have to be VERY convicing for me to believe you're a sort of military HERO at your tiny stature.
I believe Napoleon was short, hmmm.....

I think that if people choose not to watch a movie because of what some critic said then they aren't very smart. Critics are human beings, and just because they don't like a movie doesn't mean the movie is bad. It's only their opinions on how a movie is. So basically if I I am interested in seeing a movie but it got bad reviews, I will still check it out.
Duh. It's because Tom is a scientolo-crazy. I refuse to see another movie of his, as long as he is poster boy for that dangerous cult. Many others I have talked with feel the same way.

The reason people are so negative about the movie is because they are negative about Tom Cruise. He's got a huge hole to dig himself out of for some people.
I think Tom's a great actor, and I really dont care about his religion/cult whatever you think it is.
To the person who mentions his height. Grow up! pun intended!
leave the poor faggot alone
