Victoria Beckham Expands Her Fashion Line

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is determined to triumph with her newest fashion venture - because she wants to make women feel good about their bodies.
Victoria has designed a range of dresses to follow on from her dVb Style jeans - and the singer wants to emulate the success with her new line.
She says,
"They’re very sexy dresses. Full-length frocks and bold colors stuff that makes women feel good. I’m just showing it to a collection of magazine journalists and boutique retailers because I want to start off small and see what the reaction is. I really hope people will like it."
Beckham cut her teeth in the world of design with a range of denim for fashion label Rock and Republic.

I love the glamour she brings to the table. It really turns me off to see 'stars' (think Mary-Kate, Ashely, Seina, etc) wearing baggy rags around. To me, a celebrity should look put together and classy in public. I love old Hollywood (30's-50's) ....... the stars wore gorgeous clothes and their lives were mysterious.

I love her but I wish her fashion line included things for "full figured" women. My skeleton probably couldn't fit into a size 0. I really do love her clothes and style... Ah well, At least we can keep looking at them on her? :)

I agree with SeVen - I hope they come in 'normal' sizes. sigh.
I don't know where the rest of you shop, but all the stores I go to, the clothes are huge. Try finding a size 4 or 6 in anything. The stores are definitely catering to the larger crowd, and those of us who are small and petite have hard time finding anything. I took my teen daughter to a very youth-oriented store the other day at the mall, the "plus" sizes (for teens) was 3/4 of the store, the smaller clothes had one tiny section.
NEWSFLASH.... you must be shopping in lala land. I'm a plus size woman, when I go shopping the plus section is a tiny section in any store. You must be joking when you say you can't find petite clothing; the reason we plus size women have Lane Bryant, Avenue, Ashley Stewart, Torrid and Old Navy Plus, is because the industry was only catering to size 0-6. If you go to the mall where there're plus size stores, ofcouse you are not going to find clothes for you. Gap, Old Navy and many other stores have petite size clothing. Stop complaining; you skinny B*t*ches have had it good for too long now. Victoria's clothing cater to women that look anorexic and are very skinny with no ass. Latina women and black women can't wear her sh*t, even white girls with booty can't wear her line. REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES, THEY DON'T LOOK LIKE 12 YEAR OLD BOYS. Don't complain because you are naturally skinny....BOO HOO

I completely agree. Every time I go shopping for anything it's impossible to find small sizes. I'm forced to shop in the juniors/kids departments.
The high heels that she wears scare me sometime. She is going to fall and break and ankle some day. I can't imagine what her toes look like from being cramped in those things all day.
Hope it goes over better than her jean line!
GeeGee, unlike you, I never insulted anyone in my post, just said I have a hard time finding smaller sizes. Your namecalling and hostility is totally unjustified. ~~Anon @12:47
sorry, I was not trying to insult you personally. I just feel that slim women who don't have to struggle with their weight; complaining about not finding a size 2 to be something not to complain about, I wish I had that problem. The fashion industry has always catered to slimmer women, recently in the past couple of yrs, plus size women have been making a mark in the fashion world. Again, sorry if I insulted you in any way.

I tend to agree with GeeGee. Most of the stores that carry clothing i would Like to wear such as Gap, Old Navy only go up to size 10 at the largest. Being a size 16 I feel fat A LOT when i cant find clothes i like in my size. Lane Bryant is wonderful though. Theyve got comfy stylish jeans and sexy underthings for larger women.
PS : Size 8 isnt large. **Insert Witty Comment**
SeVen, I shop at Old Navy, they have a woman plus section and a regular woman's section. The plus size section carry sizes 16-30, and the regular woman's section carry 1-20. I buy from both; I usually wear a 1X on tops and a size 16 regular bottoms from the regular woman section. I like Lane Bryant too, but sometimes their prices tend to be a little too high.
Hi, GeeGee, thank you for your apology! Back to Posh: I will be curious to see what sizes and styles her line will carry, she seems like a savvy businesswoman, so I really do think she'll cater to all shapes/sizes/tastes.
"She wants to make women feel good about their bodies". This from a woman who starves herself thin, has the one of worst boob jobs around, has altered her face cosmetically and over-uses the fake tan. lol She's trying so hard to be a serious fashion force, but it never quite seems to come off. Maybe we women are not as stupid as she thinks and can see through the hype of just another money making opportunity for her.
First off, her collection is not meant for average people who generally don't dress up. The masses tend to buy clothing for work and lounging. She's catering to the demogrpahic who have a need for her designs. And if Victoria did produce for plus sized women, people would still be up in arms because they would feel like she, as a thin woman, would have no right to do such. So which one is it???
And to Victoria's credit, she took up textile technology back in school...but people don't see that...they see skinny b*tch trying to make money.
I work in the fashion industry, and there is so much more to it than what the average consumer thinks.
gee gee you are a bitter bitch. Jealous that you aren't naturally skinny? I think so!
