Rebecca Romijn Has Cream Cheese Cravings

I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ve never been one for strange cravings while pregnant. However, I LOVE hearing about other women’s cravings. While pregnant with twins, Rebecca Romijn is wanting one of two things – lemonade and cream cheese. Her husband Jerry O’Connell is making sure that the house is constantly equipped with both.

"Lemonade always has to be in our fridge. That’s my job. (Also) soy
cream cheese. It’s crazy, right? Can’t be cream cheese. Soy cream
cheese. Do you know how difficult it is to find soy cream cheese? It’s
usually in the corner of the supermarket someplace!"

Fess up, what was your worst (or best depending on how you look at it) craving while pregnant?

With my 1st pregnancy it was strawberries with a sprinkle of splenda and right now im loving limes with a sprinkle of salt.

  3. Kathy3 says:

For all of them, I had to have turkey and dressing. However, I also craved pears, tomato sauce on rice crispies, chocoatle frosted graham crackers with tuna salad, strawberries and cashews, apple pizza, horseradish mustard on anything, and bacon wrapped m&ms. When I was pregnant, hubby usually made himself a sandwich cause he said I was grossing him out!

    First pregnancy: peaches
    Second pregnancy: chocolate (bad!!)
I had an aversion to garlic, chicken and eggs during both pregnancies. I couldn’t stand the smell of those foods.

I have consistantly had Spagettios with franks and a glass of black cherry koolaid EVERY day since about the 8th week of this pregnancy. I’m in my 6th month now and I plan on having them again today lol. Weird. I havn’t eaten them since I was a kid.

I had horrible pica, and all I wanted during both pregnancies was a tall, icy glass of gasoline. In reality, I was so careful and watched everything I ate and drank and never even pumped gas because of the fumes. But I swear, I could picture the glass full of ice and the gasoline pouring over it – it seemed like the most delicious thing. My doctor said I needed more iron.

  14. T.H. From Chicago says:

I had to have Liver Cheese and Saltine Cracker Sandwiches.

  15. Elaine says:

Peanut butter captin crunch. No milk (i don’t drink it) just straight from the box.

  16. AmazinglyAmy says:

Milk was my only craving for both of my pregnancies. Which made sense cuz I haaaaaaaaaate milk!!! I never drink it so it made sense that my body was telling me that I needed it while prego. With my second child tho, it was chocolate milk that I craved. and that boy LOVES chocolate where my first child doesn’t really care for chocolate. strange, huh?

With my last pregnancy, it was green beans. It was a daily staple for me, it didn’t matter if it was raw or cooked, plain or seasoned/spicy… I had to have it. Interestingly enough, I was turned off of tomato sauce products during that pregnancy, so spaghetti, lasagna, pizza, etc made me sick to my stomach (and 4yrs later, I still have a bit of an aversion to them). 2nd pregnancy was spam. LOL 3rd pregnancy, spam made me sick. LOL With my first pregnancy, it was chow mein and orange juice that I always had to have.

I had horrible morning sickness that lasted all day for three months. The only thing I could keep down was greasy sausage biscuits from McDonalds!
Once the morning sickness lifted, which literally happened in a matter of minutes one day, I couldn’t eat enough meat. At restaurants I’d order a king cut of prime rib- literally a slab of beef- and a salad with ranch. Within an hour I’d want another one.
After my daughter was born I became addicted to mayo- still am. I think I could actually do shots of mayo…..

  25. Elama says:

Parma ham with my first pregnancy – I was practically vegetarian at the time so that was a bit of a surprise. Also watermelon, tuna and cheddar cheese sandwiches and I could only drink lucozade. With my second I looooved the smell of petrol, and car fumes and loved sweet starchy foods. I ate canned creamed rice pudding every night as it seemed to help with my morning sickness (aka 24/7 sickness). I also particularly liked lemonade and cucumber with no 2.

  26. Anonymous says:

With my first, it was jars of pimento cheese, all I ate for about two months.
My second was asparagus and cantaloupe.
Every time I tried to walk into a grocery store, I would get sick from the smell of dead flesh from the meat department. It was so bad that months after I gave birth, I threw out a pair of pumps. Whenever I looked at them, they reminded me of vomiting at work and made me sick all over again!
We are a strange brew, pregnant women……but it’s all worth it in the end.

  27. jennyjade says:

i actually craved lemonade too. i had to have everything citrus, oj, lemonade, orange sherbert ice cream, tangerines. but other than that, it was more of what i couldn’t eat. i had horrible ALL DAY sickness, and most foods were nauseating to me. i could eat one thing for days, then all of a sudden, the mere thought of it would make me sick. i went one whole week once being able to eat nothing but lean pockets. but now, i can’t even stand the thought of them, ugh.

I never liked KETCHUP and I couldn’t get enough of it when I was pregnant. I stopped eating it after my pregnancy but my daughter LOVES it!

  37. JessicaH says:

I could only stomach certain things in the 1st trimester. PB&J’s with lightly toasted wheat, and Top Ramon Broth. lol I had the worse morning sickness ever! Like 3 times a day I would throw up…no lie. And I would always ask my husband to crush ice for me, I loved it. I was always so hot that the ice cooled me off, than he started adding Strawberry Kool Aid to it…yum lol

  38. Claudia Barros says:

    Cherrios!!!!Lots and lots of Cherrios!

  39. Bonnie says:

I have three daughters and I had the same craving with all three – for one week out of the month for every month of each pregnancy, all I wanted for dinner was crab legs, buttered wheat toast and a big glass of iced tea! You would think that my daughters would hate crab legs but they love them!

  40. Bonnie says:

Oh yeah, also became addicted to Pepsi with all three and could not drink milk. Had to take calcium tablets..
