Eva Mendes is starting her own line of bedsheets and pillowcases!She says interior design is her true love and that this is something she’s always wanted to do.
"I’m a big interior design fan and architecture buff,
that’s one of my passions. If I wasn’t an actress, I’d be an interior
designer. I’m not smart enough to be an architect."
She adds that she’s hoping to broaden the line to other things if the first launch goes well.
"We’re starting off with bedding and we’re seeing how the public
responds to it… It’s very very affordable."
And Eva should know what makes a bed comfy, since she spends so much time in one!
"I love sleeping… If there was an Olympics for it, I’d take the gold. I’m Cuban; we love to sleep."
Hmm, I wonder if this line is "affordable," like Hollywood style affordable, or like Target style affordable. If it’s within your price range, would you spring for some Eva Mendes sheets?
I’m Martha Stewart all the way. I will be buried in Martha’s sheets. Eve is no Martha. Did I tell you I like Martha’s stuff? It’s great quality and at a good price. Hollywood can dream on. Martha rules!
If it was nice, and a nice price, then sure. I’m not going to hunt for it, but if I happen to see it (and the hubby agrees) I’m sure I’d buy it.

I’ve read two interviews with her recently (apart from this one), and in every single one she makes a similar remark… “I’m Cuban, we eat/sleep/fart a lot…” It drives me crazy, I swear to god. I’m Norwegian and German, but I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve EVER chalked up even one tiny little bit of my personality to either of them!! Why does it seem like actors/singers are the only ones that do?? As my 2 1/2 year old daughter would say, ‘An-NOY-ing!’ ; )
I love how these actors & actresses like Eva & Brad think that b/c they are ‘interior design fans’ or ‘passionate about architecture” that qualifies them to create something. We all know it is just their name and a suggestion or two, and the REAL interior designers & architects that do all the work. People actually go to school for this stuff, you know!
I agree momster..as an actual CERTIFIED Interior Designer, I took offense to the fact that she said she’s “not smart enough” to be an architect. As to say that being an Interior Designer is easy and that any moron can do it? UMM..as I recall I had to work my ASS off for 4 YEARS in school and then 2 MORE YEARS in a Interior Design firm to be even certified! So just because you probably like to make rooms pretty..DOES NOT MAKE YOU AN INTERIOR DESIGNER that makes you a DECORATOR!
My bestfriend has her degree in Interior Design. I can appreciate what she does, but I feel Eva’s style in dress so maybe these sheets will reflect that. If i can buy it at Target I’ll pick up a set to see how they feel. **Insert Witty Comment**
Yes, but is Eva’s style in actuality HER style, or is it her STYLIST’S style? Just wondering. I’d be interesting to see how they look/feel as well, but I’m not thinking they would be at Target, but you never know!
I doubt I’d buy her sheets just because she made them, I don’t think I want to mag celebs any richer than they already are. And I sleep a lot too, but I’m depressed.

I ain’t got a single Cuban bone in me but I love to sleep too. I’m pretty sure race doesn’t have an effect on how much people need/enjoy sleep. DUMB!!
OMG I AGREE — SO STUPID. Race has nothing to do with how much people like to sleep. (or do whatever). Oh, I’m Canadian — So therefore I love to eat…. NOT… everyone loves to eat!
