Howard Stern Auctioning Off A Girl's Virginity
I seriously think I might cry for this girl. It takes a lot to shock me but right now I am SHOCKED. Howard Stern is auctioning off the virginity of a 22 year old girl who will use the money to pay for college. Using a false name, Natalie, she said,
"I don't have a moral dilemma with it.
We live in a capitalist society. Why shouldn't I be allowed to capitalize on my virginity?"
She already has a Bachelor's degree, but now wants to get a master's in marriage and family therapy.
“I understand some people may condemn me,” she admits. “But I think this is empowering. I'm using what I have to better myself.”
"Natalie" says her mom who is a conservative 4th grade teacher does not approve, but will still support her daughter. After the girl's virginity is auctioned off, the relationship will be consumated at a brothel in Nevada where her sister already works.

Ewwwwwwwwwww!!!! If she seriously feels there's nothing wrong with what she's doing, then why is she keeping anonymity and going by a fake name?? And, seriously, this girl wants her masters in "marriage and family therapy"? I would HATE to have someone with so little moral compass advising my family or my marriage. She needs to come to her senses or let people know her real identity before they go to her seeking therapy. And, PS - this isn't capitalism, it's PROSTITUION.

Howard Stern is not auctioning the girl off. I have Sirius and heard the interview with the girl. She is working for the bunny ranch and they are doing the auction. Howard had her on to interview her about the program and actually said he didn't think it was a good idea.

the headline in this story is wholly and grossly inaccurate. Howard interviewed the girl this morning (i heard it). the auction is taking place through the Bunny Ranch. Howard has nothing to do with this other than interviewing those involved. check yer facts IMO!

This morning , b4 I read the article on the NY Daily News, Howard Stern talked about this topic! He was OUTRAGED.. he didn’t want his name involved in this at all! The person who is ACTUALLY auctioning off her virginity called the Daily News Gossip, and told them.. Howard said that he has 3 daughters.. 25, 22 & 15.. he would never put a Childs virginity up for auction.. he found her story interesting and was having her on his show!! He cancelled the meeting, but producers convinced him to have them on the show anyway.. they had already flown in, and were expected in the studio in a few hours..!

First of all...prostitution is legal in certain counties in Nevada. The Bunny ranch is in one of them. And then even presented with the facts you have to bad mouth Howard Stern. Dog Poop? Now that is Gross!!! the fact that people are using words like :"gross" and "poop" says that they are too young to be having sex...whatever way they like it.

This isn't the first time this has happened. It was a common practice for Geishas, and has happened several times in the US and around the world more recently. Who are we to condemn her? Provided it is legal (which it is), she has thought it through (which I assume she has) and is happy to go ahead (which she is) why should we condemn her? Although not something I would have done myself, I don't think it's right for us to label her "pathetic" and immoral simply because she is making an unusual choice.
I agree, she's gonna make the choices that she, herself has to live with. If she's fine with it then get down with your bad self!

She claims that her desicion is done in the context of living in a capitalist society, and that she is just capitalizing on her virginity. It is also interesting that she uses language such as "empowering" and "bettering herself" to justify her choice. Does she realize in that putting her virginity and sexuality up for sale, she is in fact reducing herself to a commodity? That doesn't sound like empowerment to me. Also, the involvement of a brothel in this, (lots of publicity for them), reeks of publicity stunt. Sure she'll make some money, and that seems to be her focus, but she's being totally exploited while doing so. The cynic in me also questions her aim to do further studies in Marriage and Family Studies. Is this just to make her actions seem "wholesome" in some twisted way? Women being auctioned off in order to provide sexual services... Doesn't sound too empowering to me.

This is actually competly UNTRUE. This woman was a GUEST of the Howard Stern show. He had absolutely NOTHING to do with the auction. He was just interviewing her. Just like when the Today show interviews murderers, they dont help comit the crime.
The fact that she would sell her "virginity" to some complete stranger, makes me question if she is in fact even a virgin to begin with? I wonder if AIDS, Herpes and Chlamydia will make her feel more "Empowered"????
