Jason Statham Having Dinner At The Wolseley

Jason Statham and his date were photographed arriving to The Wolseley for dinner last night in London. Jason has been on my radar since he made, "Transporter" and I've continued to watch his movies though I've yet to check out, "Death Race". Anyone had a chance to see it? Was it any good?
Every time I ask someone about that movie they start screaming about how it's a remake. People are really protective about the original I guess.

if you can handle some graphic violence and don't expect much in the form of plot or story development, GO SEE IT!!! it's a no holds barred race movie, and the whole cast did a great job
i LOVE "Handsome Rob" and all the movies he makes, so i may be a bit biased! i thought death race was a non-stop action movie. i love action movies (much to my husband's delight), so if you don't like over the top action, then perhaps the movie Crank is better for you! Crank is a great, funny, action packed fast paced movie that came out a year or so ago!
I just went and saw Deathrace yesterday and I really didn't think I would like it cuz i'm not into those kinds of movies, I just did it as a favor to my boyfriend, but it was REALLY good. I was interested the whole time and loved the entire thing. The movie doesn't get the credit it deserves.

if you take the movie for what it is, gratuitus amounts of blood, foul language, and awesomely violent explosions, then it is pretty good. I tend to like violent fast films, and this one was good. the story line is actually realistic, set in the future when the penal system is privately owned. the characters are pretty well developed, and you do learn more about them than just their name.
yes, it was a remake of deathrace2000, which didn't really have much success, so now that the new one is out, i'm sure many people, like myself, will be trying to find the original.
