Fact Or Fiction: Nicole Richie Gets Into Fight With Fan And Smashes Camera

WHAT?! I need to see video footage of this. Nicole Richie was exiting an afterparty at Country Club, hosted by Mark Ronson’s fashion designer sister Charlotte as part of New York Fashion Week. She saw a fan trying to take pictures of her and got very upset. Page Six reports:
"A young, Swedish tourist was trying to take her photo. Richie shouted, ‘I’m not an animal’ then jumped over the velvet rope, ripped the camera out of the girl’s hand, and smashed it to the ground."
No comment from Nicole's rep...

Fiction. The whole "I'm not an animal" comment and then proceeding to jump over a rope like a damn cheetah and laying the smack down just sounds too ridiculous to be true.
hahah i was going to say the exact same thing..
My cousin was there when this happened. He says, Nicole DID get ****** off at a fan, and grabbed the girls camera & smashed it on the ground. Sorry- but she was on property not her own, and no right to damage the girls property much less get **** off she took her picture. When are stars going to stop resenting fans wanting to see them and know what they are doing? That's WHY these people are famous and the trade off for being in the spot light, last time I checked. Isn't that also why she gets a ton of money to make appearances? Hey- Nicole wants to work for a living instead of getting her pic taken- she can trade with me anyday. I'd let her take a picture AND I would give her an autograph. PS- Her PR people sent a VERY nice replacement camera and an apology afterward. Damage control.
with these moody hollywood types anything is possible...i dont think it sounds that unbelievable considering all the things that go down with celebs & the paps...even though this girl was allegedly a fan, its still someone with a camera. it doesnt say she beat her up, she just grabbed the camera, not so bad.

Ok a velet rope without a group of photographers? to capture this? Nicole richie that has a bodyguard open her door for her to traffic school. she is more the type to send her bodyguards to do the dirty work. nicole richie having enough life in her to "jump" over something...LMAO A smashed camera without a police report, the lawsuit, or at least a picture of the camera in its smashed state? totally unbeliveable. i will say false more like fan fictionn
that doesn't sound like something nicole would do. maybe she just walked away, stepped over the rope, and bumped into the camera making it fall to the ground. but the press would never blow anything out of proportion, right? *wink wink*

There may be some truth to this, although I have to admit it sounds a bit far fetched, but anything could be possible. I remember in an interview with her, they mentioned how she poured bleach on a pool table because she thought someone stole her purse. However, that was prior to her becoming a mother. There should be some video of it somewhere.
i can see where the confusion would come in, she kind of resemles a chiuaua.
If it happened on the same night this picture was taken it could be true, because lil Nicole looks higher than a kite.

No way this is true. Nicole is way too layed back to attack someone like that. And she's never even attacked regular papparazzi, let alone a Swedish fan?!? Yeah, right.
i remember a article where Joel Madden says Nicole is so laid back sometimes it upsets him cause nothing bugs her. He was so excited for her pregnancy hormones because she finally complained and bitched at him. i find this story laughable. anyone that pays attention to nicole will know that she is too jaded to do this. jump, yell, soo out of character for her.
This is obviously false. How on earth could such an altercation happen in New York City during Fashion Week outside of a major club where tons of paparazzi would be stationed along with tourists yet there are no pictures? I never believe stories like this when there aren't pictures since it's really hard to believe that things like this happen in public yet nobody ever has a camera.
She's so skinny yet look at that tummy screaming to be set free. It says bulimic to me.

I would think as frail as Nicole is, that any swift movement she makes, could possibly break some of her own bones.

I doubt this story is true, but if it is, I wouldn't blame her one bit!
